Imagine... Helping Charlie fall asleep.

"Why are you still awake?" You asked Charlie, standing from your place on the couch. She came over and hugged you. You hugged her back. "You need to sleep." You said into her frizzy red hair. She turned and you stared into her worn-out hazel eyes. They looked like sapphires in the dark light of the room.
"I couldn't sleep." She said, walking back toward her room. "Sorry for bothering you."
You jogged to catch up with her, feet pounding noisily down the hall. You grabbed her hand as she entered her bedroom. She plopped straight down on the bed, not looking back. You gently lied next to her, heart pounding with excitement.
She placed her head on your chest. You kissed the top of it and stroked her hair.
"Sweet dreams."
"Yeah, okay." She muttered sarcastically. Her breathing shifted and you could tell she was asleep.
All the weight seemed to lift off your shoulders and for once, in a while, you slept soundly.
