The morning sun has risen in the city of Beijing and everyone is seen proceeding to their work but in a penthouse bedroom of one of the most expensive buildings, two souls are seen sleeping peacefully. The bedroom windows are covered with curtains so thick that the sun rays are not able to pierce them making the environment cozy for the occupants of the room.
The younger one has kept his head on the lap of the elder and is holding the waist of the latter as anchoring on the last twig of his life while The older is sleeping in the sitting position only while his hands are in the younger hair, as both of them are sleeping their breaths are falling into regular pace as the breath of the younger is complementing that of the older.
As these two souls are sleeping a peaceful silence is seen spreading in the room and only the breathing sound of both the occupants of the room can be heard, both of them are holding into each other in such a way that if anyone would have seen sleeping them like this, they would have felt envy of the bond these two have to sleep like this, little they would be knowing that the one in the lap of the other didn't even know about the presence of the other.
As these two are sleeping without any care for the outer world, a shrill ringtone of the phone echoed in the room disturbing the sleep of one of the occupants of the room.
The person with his closed eyes grabs his phone to answer it as he speaks in a sleepy voice, "Hello!"
"Where the heck are you, Xiao Zhan?" Came an anxious voice from the other side of the call making the other one try to slowly open his eyes.
"Sleeping, Kuan!" Came the indifferent response.
Kuan hearing the response is shocked as this is the first time Zhan has given him such a response because the latter has always been disciplined and proficient about his schedules so what happens today that the other is completely opposite of his attitude so he in a bit of an anxious voice asks,
"Everything fine, Zhan?"
Zhan hearing this replied, "yes Kuan" and then with a pause continued, "what happened?"
"Zhan, do you know what the time is?" Asked Kuan
"6:00 am" replied Zhan casually in his sleepy state.
"Sir, it's already 11:00 am" replied Kuan.
Zhan hearing this got startled and all his sleep left him. He removed the phone from his ear to check the time and it was indeed 11:00 am. Zhan cursed himself and realized that he had missed an important meeting of his today. He took the phone back to his ear as he spoke in a bit of irritated tone, "why didn't you call me earlier?"
Kuan hearing this spoke in a mocking tone, "sir, check your phone I have called you twenty times but you didn't answer"
Zhan when heard this opened his phone to check it and indeed there were twenty missed calls from his friend. On seeing this he releases a deep breath as he speaks, "I will be there in one hour!" And then with a pause asked, "Have you taken the notes of the meeting?"
Kuan when heard this replied, "yes, Zhan" as he already know that this is going to happen when he didn't see the CEO in the meeting room so he already asked Wen Ning to take the notes for Young CEO.
Zhan on hearing this just hummed in response and ended the call. He gathered himself to get up when he suddenly felt a weight on his lap.
Zhan sensing the weight got startled and looked down to see the scene which greeted him to leave him surprised as he found the person he loved the most sleeping on his lap with his hands encircled around his waist. Zhan on seeing this at first is startled as he didn't remember how he ended up here. As Zhan is thinking about this the scene from last time flooded his memories of how he met the younger in the bar last night, how he bought the younger to his flat to make him put to sleep, and as he was about to leave, the latter grabbed him refusing to leave him. As the last scene flashed in front of his eyes, Zhan smiled and his hands automatically reached to caress the younger hair, which then reached to his face as Zhan stroked the face of the younger lovingly.
Yibo who has been sleeping peacefully unconsciously snuggled into the warmth on his face and purred in satisfaction. Zhan seeing the action chuckled but soon came out of his daze as it suddenly clicked that Kuan is waiting for him in the office.
Zhan released a deep breath as he tries to remove the younger from his lap but to his amazement the more he tried the more the younger is reluctant to leave him. Zhan seeing this feels a warmth spreading in his heart but he knows that he needs to leave for the office, so he just bents down at the ear level of the younger as he whispers in the ear,
"Love, I need to leave" and the response he got made him laugh as he felt that the embrace is more tightened now, so Zhan just lowered himself again and spoke in a gentle voice, "love, you are my good boy naa, so please leave me, I need to go to the office" and to his amazement, the boy loosened his embrace and Zhan smiled while ruffling his hair. He made Yibo lie on the bed comfortably and stood up to leave, as he checked the room around when a soft toy at one corner of the room caught his attention.
Zhan on seeing the soft toy smiled as he still remembered that he gifted it to yibo when he turned around 18 years of age as it was the younger's birthday, though he was not able to attend the party but he sent the gift for the boy through Mr. Wang. Zhan seeing the toy chuckled and moved toward it grabbing it in his arm he brought it back for Yibo and kept it aside Yibo and the latter immediately grabbed the toy in his sleep making Zhan laugh.
Before leaving Zhan just looked at the younger for the last time to bend down at the level of the latter as he ruffles his hair and took out his phone to click the photo of the younger, as the said person looked so adorable that Zhan wanted to capture the photo of the person as he didn't know whether he will be able to have this chance again or not. After clicking the photo Zhan left the room with his last word being, "sleep well, love"
It was around 1:00 pm a knock was heard on the door of the bedroom and as usual, it was not answered so the other just opened the room to find the younger sleeping peacefully.
Cheng seeing the boy sleeping in this position cooed at the boy as the younger was looking too adorable sleeping like this so he took out his phone to click the photo of the younger to send it to someone who would love to see him like this, Cheng after sending the photo put his phone back as he moved toward the younger.
Cheng on reaching the bed with his heavy heart shook the younger as he didn't want to wake him up as the scene was so sweet for him but he knows that the younger have an interview at 4:00 pm and it was important to wake the younger.
Yibo who had been sleeping peacefully when felt someone shake him groaned and turned his head to the other side. Cheng seeing this chuckled and again shook him but this time spoke,
"Yibo, get up, you have an interview to attend!"
Yibo hearing this groaned as he opened his eyes to find himself on his bed. Yibo seeing this is puzzled as he remembers him getting drunk at Yunmeng bar. As he is thinking about this, he hears Cheng's voice, "Yibo, what happened?"
Yibo who was in his thoughts just shook his head as he spoke, "nothing Cheng" and gets up from his bed to move toward his washroom to refresh himself, when he suddenly stops as he asks, "Cheng, did you know who bought me back to the penthouse?"
Cheng who was about to leave when heard the question knew who must have brought the boy back but didn't want to reveal so he replied, "No idea, yibo"
Yibo hearing this released a deep breath as he hummed in response to leave to refresh himself.
After refreshing himself, Yibo entered the room to find Cheng with a glass of lemonade. Yibo seeing this smiled as he speaks, "thanks, bro"
Cheng just smiled as he spoke, "your welcome bro" and then after a pause continued, "Yibo, I am waiting in the lobby, when you get ready just call for me"
The younger hummed in response as he left for his walk-in closet to get ready. As the younger is getting ready his thoughts drift back to the previous night as he tries to remember who brought him back to the penthouse when suddenly he got a blurry face of someone which bought a smile to the boy's face as he felt the same warmth surrounding him. Yibo sensing the warmth smiled as he spoke to himself,
"I WANT TO KNOW WHO ARE YOU AS YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO MAKES ME FEEL SAFE AND LOVED!"
and leaves for his interview.
