Today was the day. July 22nd. Today marks 27 years since the love of your life was born. Your eyelids fluttered open and you looked next to you, your girlfriend sleeping peacefully. You took a minute to just admire her. The freckles on her back, how innocent she looked while she slept, how her black hair was messy across the pillow she had her head on. You slowly got up walking to her side of the bed and laid down on top of her. "Happy birthday to you!!" You began to sing and noticed Selena's eyes open and her lips curl up in a smile. As you finished singing, Selena rolled onto her back as you sat on top of her. "Good morning." She smiled. "Good? It's a GREAT morning Sel!! It's your birthday baby! Happy birthday!" You said happily leaning down to kiss all over her face. She giggled as her hands intertwined with yours. Looking into your eyes she slowly leaned in and kissed your lips. Her birthday already off to a great start.
