From within the velvet room , Igor and his two assistants sat and watched the twins fought each other . The battle seemed fierce , and both of them seemed to be fighting with the will to kill the opponent . An excited grin appeared on Igor's face as he laughed at the situation .
" fascinating ! " he breathed " how utterly fascinating ! Those twins have been surprising me for the longest time. They have been the subject of my full attention ever since they set foot inside the velvet room . I knew from the moment I set my eyes on them that they are going to be my most promising guests , and even then I feel like I had horribly underestimated them ! "
" but ... master ! " Theodore exclaimed anxiously " if they continue fighting at this pace , they could ... "
" cease your objections , Theo ! " Elizabeth said
" sister ! Surely you ... sister ? " Theodore stopped when he noticed how tense Elizabeth was as she stared at them fighting , her eyes were red and fixated on them , so much so that she seem to had forgotten how to blink
" have you ... have you forgotten , brother ? " Elizabeth sounded stiff and forced " we are ... we are residents of the velvet room . Our duty is to guide and watch over our guests as they master their powers . Wether they use this power to bring peace or chaos to the world ... or ... or bring about ... their ... demise ... is not our concern nor business . That is what our great master Philemon had decided . You remember that ... don't you ? "
" ... yes " Theodore sighed
" yes ... even as I praise them ... they continue to surprise me " Igor laughed as he kept his attention on the fight
Minato charged his power and Minako charged her mind . Minato then called Siegfried and struck Minako with so much force that she crashed the wall behind her . When she stood up she threw her naginata at Minato before calling Odin and striking him with a massive pillar of lightning .
" Lucifer ! Cast Magidoloan ! "Minako called
" come ! " Minato called both Valkyrie and Odin " Valhalla ! "
The entire blast was nullified . Then both of the twins called Forneus and Decaberia , increasing their speed , strength and stamina .
" Black Frost ! " Minako called " freeze ! "
" Shiva !" Minato called , nullifying the damage
" Fire ! "
" Surt ! " Minato quickly switched , before switching again and calling both Ares and Siegfried " Scarlot Havoc ! "
" Thor ! " Minako summoned as she stood up from the damage , aiming for the roof
The roof was crushed onto Minato , and as he tried to stand up Minako called Metatron to try and finish him with a Hamaon , but he called Dominion which blocked it .
They were both calling very strong Personas , and were switching between them at an impossibly fast rate . They were so fast at it that who'd watch them would think they were summoning multiple Personas at the same time . It was a level of fighting they were never capable of , but the shadow that was manipulating them was able to push them beyond their human limitations since it couldn't feel pain from their fighting . The sight of them fighting was intimidating .

Akihiko managed to get Mitsuru out of the fallen roof , and she slowly regained consciousness . The two set out to find their underclassmen . Junpei and Yukari had both regained consciousness, and Yukari anxiously tried to heal Junpei . When they all met, the could hear the twins fighting in the distance , the entire place was shaking from their fight . And they could even see them in the distance blasting each other with horrifically strong attacks and elements , yet they both remained strong and didn't seem to flinch from anything . It was hard to tell if it was for the new Personas they were using , or if it was because of the shadow controlling them .
" thank God I could finally reach you ! " Fuuka wept
" Yamagishi ! " Mitsuru called back " can you contact them ? "
" I can't ! I ... I don't know what to do ! "
" don't panic " she said " we only need to defeat the shadow and its grip over their minds will loosen . For now , let's keep our interactions with you to a minimal so that the shadow wouldn't detect us "
" r—right ... please be careful "
" alright , let's go . I'll use Penthesilea to confirm the location of the shadow " Mitsuru turned to the team , deciding to take matters into her own hand " don't stray off the team , and whatever you do stay away from the twins "
" right " Akihiko said " let's do this ! "
" Junpei ! Are you even listening ? " Yukari called Junpei who was staring at the twins in the distance
" wh—what ? I mean ... yeah ! Of course I am ! "
" sheesh ! Get it together ! You wanna get hypnotized , too ! "
" no way ! " he yelled at her which had her surprised for a second " I'm not so weak like them ! "
" don't waste time , let's hurry " Mitsuru interrupted the,
" um ... senpai , are we gonna be alright without Minato and Minako ? "
" of course we will , who needs them ?! " Junpei interrupted as he trailed forward " Imma fight so fiercely they'll see that it was them holding us back ! "
" well ... at least you're confident " Yukari sighed as she followed him .

Minako called Alice , momentarily sealing Minato's Personas before calling both King Frost and Black Frost and try to freeze him . However , Minato was quick on his feet and he dodged her multiple attacks . Minato ran up to her and punched her , then he tried to pin her to the floor , but she pushed him with her naginata . She then called both Shiva and Parvarti and casted a powerful fire spell on the place . Minato thought he had her figured out when he managed to dodge her attack , but he didn't realize that her spell melted the ice she had previously tried to freeze him with . It was only when she called Take-Mikazuchi and Thor to strike the place with lightning that he realized what she was planning . At that time the whole floor was wet with the melted ice , and there was no escape for Minato .
Even when he switched to Odin , he still sustained a heavy blow from that attack . He tried to call Cybele and heal himself , but his Personas were still sealed . Minako didn't give him any chance to recover , and she immediately called Lucifer and blasted him with a Magidoloan . As Minato struggled to stand up , he finally regained his Personas again . He looked ahead and saw Minako about to blast him with another spell , and he immediately retaliated by calling Asura and casting a magical barrier on himself , which deflected the spell back at her . Before she could recover he called Susano'o , and with a single slash of his blade she was struck with such force that she was slammed to the wall .
Minato stood up and healed himself , before calling Abaddon to try and seal Minako's Persona . However , the spell was ineffective on her and she managed to heal herself .
At this point , it seemed that the twins were at their limit . Even though they weren't feeling mentally exhausted because of the shadow controlling their minds , their bodies were barely in shape to continue the fight . Minato pointed the evoker to his head and shot .
" Metatron ! Mithra ! " Minato called two powerful Personas together
From the sky , a huge hammer emerged and struck the ground . Minako barely dodged being crushed below it , and even then the impact of the shockwave , which also crushed the floor , sent her flying . When she tried standing back up again , she discovered she had sprain her ankle . Of course , at that point , she had other physical injuries as well , but that was the first injury that actually crippled her movement , so the shadow recognized its presence . Her wobbly ankle made her lose her footing and she crouched on the ground . As she looked in the distance and saw Minato charging at her , it seemed that she had lost the fight .

I have so much to talk about in regards to this part ...
First off , ladies and gentlemen , seems that Minato is gonna be our winner ! Congratulations , door-kun!
I apologize to everyone who was rooting for Minako , myself included . Yup , I was rooting for her . You have no idea how hard was it for me to write this part . I love those two equally and I can't bear to let any of them lose , but I also value you just as much , my readers . In the last part I specifically said " two wild cards , one victor " , so there has to be one and one only .
Even if I ignored my love for those two cinnamon rolls , it'll still be difficult to choose who is stronger . I mean , it's not like I'm comparing Persona 3 to Persona 4 or something . I'm comparing both Minako and Minato who have similar Personas and similar compendiums. I had mentioned before that Minako is more of a team player so that would obviously put her at a disadvantage , but that wasn't the reason she lost . She lost because she used elements while her brother used physical attacks ( notice how at the beginning I had her cast ' mind charge ' while her brother casted ' power charge ' ? ) why did I decide that Minato is better in physical attacks than her ? Well , in Persona 3 FES he can equip almost every weapon , whereas in Persona 3 Portable ( Minako ) you're restricted to just the sword/naginata
Okay , so why would that make her lose ? Well , the biggest impact that I've shown elementals to have is that they cause headaches ( mental damage to your Persona ) . Since the shadow is controlling them the mental damage is not as severe as the physical damage . Meanwhile , Minato was attacking her with physical attacks and Personas . Even though the shadow numbed her senses , she was still slowly getting crippled until the end where she couldn't even stand .
I really really hope I did this fight right for many reasons , but the most important reason is that fights this fierce will be more common in later parts ( not to mention similarly fierce battles exist in my original works and drafts ) I tried not to make the fight too long , and inserted the conversation between the other SEES members to give you guys a quick break . Still , I do feel I have a lot to learn , so please don't hesitate to comment your thoughts and opinions about this fight, and if you have any advice on writing fierce battles then please consider commenting them as well , and stick around for the next parts where we find out together if this is the end of SEES .
