Saturday July 20th 2019: 2 pm in the living room...
"April, Can you stall the guys until 6? I'm still decorating the lair for the surprise party." (Y/N) said with the phone on their right shoulder as they placed the banner at the end of the room.
"No prob (Y/N)! I got you covered!" April said.
"Thanks! I really appreciate it! Talk to you soon!" (Y/N) said as they turned off their phone and sighed afterwards.
"A lot of work for one person to handle..." Splinter said as (Y/N) jumped surprised at the rat.
"Didn't see you there Splinter. I'm really thankful you let me do this for the guys." (Y/N) said smiling at him.
"No problem at all! It's good for my sons having another friend and for April's sake too!" Splinter said.
(Y/N) rubbed their neck feeling proud but remembered something.
"I almost forgot!"
(Y/N) held out a separate clear container with food to him.
"I'm not sure you already ate lunch but this is just the sneak peek of the food I left in the kitchen before April brings your sons back to the lair at 6."
Splinter took the container and thanked them as they continued to their decorating mode to the kitchen.
"Heh. They're a bright kid, that (Y/N)." Splinter said as he sat in his chair turning on the projector with the opened container by his side.

4:30 pm at the bottom floor of the skate ramps...
(Y/N) took a swig of their favorite drink while sitting down taking a 30 minute break.
"Hoo boy..." They said now looking at the skate ramps around them.
A sweatdrop appeared on (Y/N)'s head feeling a bit overwhelmed how to tackle this issue.
(Y/N) never liked the obstacle courses because of school's definition of physical education (AKA P.E.). They were used to the some of the physical training their turtle pals showed them but kept forgetting to ask Donnie or Raph about it. Curse the endless pile of homework/assignments towards a typical high school student.
(Y/N) examined the timer on their phone. Only 15 minutes left, they then laid on the floor losing motivation.
"What seems to be the problem (Y/N)?" Splinter asked a floor above them as he hops down to meet them.
(Y/N) sat up after hearing him as exhaustion began to set in on them.
Splinter didn't say anything afterwards but scanned the area around him with the lack of party ornaments.
"Hmmm... Is this the last place you wanted to spruce up, (Y/N)?"
"Yeah... But I'm scared that I might mess it up with my lack of obstacle training." (Y/N) said embarrassed.
"I'm sure the purple one will achieve some type of machine suited for you and for the others as well." Splinter said confidently.
"For now. Extend your break time to 5:30! My sons and April would be worried at the state you're in."
"You wouldn't want to ruin the surprise party by overworking yourself." Splinter said grabbing the bunches of party streamers in one hand as he started to work on the ground floor.
(Y/N) glanced at their phone's screen as a mirror. They were too excited to sleep about the plan and only sleep for (1-5) hours as a result. They shrugged but acknowledge his advice and headed to the living room to take a nap on the large beanbag.

5:55 pm...
(Y/N) woke up to someone nudging their shoulder and saw April.
"Wait! I supposed to wake up around 25 minutes ago?!"
"What happened with the guys!?" (Y/N) said alarmed.
"Chill (Y/N)! Splinter didn't want to wake you up and called me to do it for him. His sons are waiting at the sewer ladders right now watching some video of a guy making a knife made of jello. Just ask Leo about it when the party starts." April said as she pulled (Y/N) up and proceeded to drag them out of the room to prepare for the upcoming surprise.
6 pm...
"Any idea why the lights are off Donnie?" Raph asked.
"Dad's probably by the living room." Donnie said.
Leo and Mikey were still immersed in watching another video by the same guy creating knives and watched a chocolate knife in the process as the two older brothers talk.
As all four of them stepped into the skate ramp, the sound of three party poppers go off while the lights illuminate the colorful room.
The three other turtles hide behind Raph startled by the noise as he looked at his dad, April, and (Y/N) yelling a surprise in unison grinning at the four.
"But none of us has a birthday on this day?" Leo said confused at the surprise.
April put her arm around (Y/N)'s shoulder.
"(Y/N) thought of this surprise two weeks before this day and brought the party supplies and food here around 2 today." April said.
Mikey went over to hug (Y/N) as a thanks while (Y/N) smiled in return.
"That's really thoughtful of you (Y/N)." Raph said.
"We're all flattered by (Y/N)'s kind gesture but let's get this party under way!" Donnie said as everyone cheered.
10 pm...
April left an hour early but helped clean some of the party decorations before leaving. The turtles insisted (Y/N) sleep over for the night and Splinter happily accepted the request. Mikey and Donnie went over to (Y/N)'s apartment wearing their colored hoodies to get (Y/N)'s belongings. Leo and Raph picked up the remaining decorations along with managing the leftover food. (Y/N) sat in the living room watching one of Lou Jitsu's movies on the projector.
"Do you have a favorite among my sons?" Splinter said nonchalantly causing (Y/N) to be astonished at this comment.
"I-I like all of them! Why are you asking this all of a sudden?" (Y/N) said keeping their composure.
"A father can't ask after knowing one of his sons has a crush on their friend for an entire year." Splinter said still focused on the screen.
(Y/N) remained speechless for a few seconds until saying something.
"Do I probably have to make the first move?" (Y/N) said closing their eyes shut.
"Depends. But as a father, break one of their hearts and I won't go easy on forgiving you!"
"And more importantly, love can be a friend and an enemy. Have time to discuss your personal feelings to maintain a good relationship. Trust me on this (Y/N)." Splinter said.
(Y/N) opened their eyes after listening to his advice. The only word that (Y/N) thought of was "impressive" and especially with today's events.
"Thanks Splinter" (Y/N) said.
Splinter chuckled afterwards and heard the sound of his two sons returning as all four of them stopped by the living room to check on (Y/N).
"(Y/N)! You still up to play in the arcade!" Mikey said as the other three waited on (Y/N).
"I'll just watch for a bit." (Y/N) said now standing up and walking toward the four.
"Just say the word when you're sleepy, (Y/N)." Raph said as the five teens head together to the arcade.
("That (Y/N)'s okay in my book. Hopefully they calm one of these chaotic boys. Especially the purple one.") Splinter thought to himself and shuddered at the last comment.

Typed July 19th 2019
I'm publishing this on Saturday as I previously mentioned in the last oneshot.
Can we talk how good the ROTTMNT version of Splinter actually acts like a dad in this series?(well the first two episodes with him just had the full dad experience but somewhat listens to his sons). Not really sure if I can watch the other versions because man this Splinter wins at best dad of all time.
I'll talk briefly about my experience with this show for a bit.
At first, I wasn't interested in the show with the redesigns. Until I heard Ben Schwartz voicing Leo in this series, I instantly recorded the first episode afterwards. (I miss that Cunningham kid he voiced in rc9gn and him doing another voice role as a ninja; talk about nostalgic.) After finishing the first episode, I was in awe from the beginning to the end; the animation flowing perfectly with the art style. (that early 2000's sharp art so good)
This year near the end of March to May, kind of a dark time for me and my family but I won't delve too far into that.
I'll just say this I kept rolling on for this series and other cool shows that cheered me up.
I don't regret watching this show and will stick to the end.
Typing these oneshots are really one of my thank yous to this wonderful show.
Anyway TL;DR - This show has a special place in my heart and I thank you for reading my stories.
