Welcome pumpkinyara! It is our
pleasure to have you here for this
interview.

Let's start the interview!

•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•

1) What inspired you to start writing?
I was searching for a story to read on wattpad with a certain plot in my head. Like, I wanted it to be about
revenge and this and that, I had like a whole plot in my head and I wanted to read something like that. But I could not find a story with my desired plot, so I  was like, ha, maybe I can
write such a story. I opened a word document and I started writing and the rest was history. So, I really
believe in the saying that your first novel is the one you wanted to read. That's exactly what happened with
me.

2) When you started writing and how old were you?
I was 17 ish. Gosh, I was a baby, I had just started university with no clue
or whatsoever of what is waiting for me. I was in my dorm's room at
night, excitedly typing and publishing my next chapter and going to my classes the next day, totally sleep-deprived xD. I am 25 now lol and I have my job, my house, and my
car. It feels like a lot has passed since I published my first chapter. It's not till I said it out loud that I realized that I actually grew up, woah! Insane, right!

3) Would you like to share your experience when you first started writing?
Well, as I mentioned before, it all started with me trying to find a book to read but none of what I found
satisfied my cravings as a reader. So, I opened that word document, I started
typing the random scenes that were roaming through my head. It was so random, with such bad grammar, considering English is like my third language. I was the definition of an
amateur,I still am I guess, but I improved a lot. I can notice that. Reading back to my first story, I can't
help but cringe throughout the whole book and wonder how people ever
liked this plot-hole-filled, bad-grammar way-too-many-typos,
cringy book. But I can still remember the thrill I got every time someone voted or commented or when I
first reached 1k, then 10k then 100k reads. It was exhilarating.

4) From where do you get your ideas from?
It's really weird. I don't have one answer to this. Sometimes the person I am talking to says a word and a whole scene forms in my head based on that word, sometimes I take examples from other people's experience, from mine and I add more action and drama to the mix and ta-da, I have a story. Also, once the plot is formed in my head, the characters starts talking to me (No, I am not crazy, I promise). But they really do, before going to sleep, the
scenes would be cooking in my head and I would see them from the character's point of view, not mine. Okay, it still sounds little bit crazy...well, what's the fun in being sane, right? xD

5) What do you like to do when you aren't writing?
I used to read. A lot. Like a lot a lot. But I have been in this reader-block for years now and I can't seem to
get out of it. If I am home and free, I would usually either write or binge watch something but most of
the times, I am outside (Before corona came and destroyed my social life
Insert sad music:) l am quite the social bean of the group, I love people, so, I am always outside, socializing
(with friends from college, workmates, family relatives..). Gosh, I want my pre-corona life back.

6) What does your family think about your writing?
They think it's a nice hobby to fill my time with. They don't comment much,
since I don't talk about my stories a lot. But I have asked my mom for her input on a couple of scenes in my book and she actually gave me quite cool advices. Thanks mom, love you. My dad says, "It's a cool hobby,
better than doing drugs I  guess." Thanks daddy, love you too.

7) Which character of your book resembles you?
Well, as a whole character, they don't resemble me at all. But I have reflected some of my traits in each one of them. For example, the way Cara always ran away from her problems and feelings instead of just
facing them, yup, that's me. Really bad, I know. Also, I am so sarcastic
(Ask my friends), just like Alex, I can't stay serious for more than a minute, I am always joking, 24/7 and am always throwing sexual references here and there, yup, you're welcome, Alex
got his best traits from me Not to mention his infinite ego, I kind of have that too lol xD

8) Which one is your favorite male and female character of your book?
Why?
Favorite male: Alex, duh.. just read my answer above, I am kinda the female version of him. Favorite female gotta be Katherine,I don't know why, maybe because she was
my first female character to write, or the way she loves her friends and family too deeply. To me, she is like
the mother of the group. I just love her. I have a soft spot for her. I loved
writing her, even though I didn't give her story justice. With my beginner amateur writing, but one day, ONE
DAY, I will edit it,I promise.

9) Who is your favorite Celebrity?
Robert Downey, Jr. That's it. That's the whole answer.

10) Challenges you face while writing?
Damn writer's block. It happens specially when I am trying to force something to happen in my story and since the characters just don't like it,
they stop talking to me and I lose my whole inspiration. Damn, that still sound crazy.

11) Writing is your hobby or you want to persuade as career?
Just a hobby. It's not my dream job. Just a way to fill my free time. I am an
engineer baby, that's my dream.

12) Who is your favorite author and your favorite book?
That's like asking me what's your favorite meal. The answer would be: All things food. So yeah, I can't
pick a favorite. Every book I have read made me feel a different type of emotion, every book has it's special
place,I can't pick a fav, sorry.

13) Do you use any other website to update your story?
Nope.

14) How much readers mean to you?
Gosh, a lot. Their comments are like unicorns. No kidding. Love you all
and I have missed you, considering I haven't updated in months.

15) How many readers pressurize you to give updates?
Quite a lot. But they don't pressurize me. They just ask nicely, and they really shouldn't be nice with me
because I haven't given them an update in ages. Sorry peeps, I am coming back soon, I promise.

16) How do you feel when some readers comments offensive and report your work? Want to say
something to them?
I've had those. It used to sting a bit, you know, as humans, we always
crave positive responses from others but that's not always the case. I
came to understand that just like I don't like other author's books, some
people won't like mine, maybe it's not their cup of tea and that's totally
okay. We all are different in the end. The important thing is how you convey your dislike of a story, you can either keep your opinion to yourself if it's offensive or write it down as a form of constructive criticism, respectfully. Don't demotivate people,
if your opinion would help the author make the story better, maybe give it, but if it's just for the purpose of being rude, then keep it to yourself dude, there is enough negativity around
us.

17) Want to say something to aspiring writers?
Just write. Keep writing. If you have that passion, don't give up. Your writing will improve drastically, believe me. So, just keep on writing.
Whatever comes to your head, write it down, no one can stop you.

18) If you want you can ask 2 questions from your readers?
Ask away ma peeps! I will gladly answer any question.
