Mutters and chatter were heard all around the Mirror Chamber as everyone has their belongs and bags ready. They're excited to get back home and be with thier families once again.

"There's already a bunch of people headed home." Deuce muttered as he scans the room around them.

"Haha, they all look so antsy." Ace chuckled. "And Headmaster is..." The First-years scanned all over to find the Headmaster, but they didn't expect to see Headmaster....

"Everyone, please make sure to keep a hold of your belongings as you enter the Mirror Chamber." Wearing a yellow Hawaiian shirt, white shirts, and a matching white fedora with a black band around the brim. "If you let go for even a moment, your things will end up in a completely different location. I recommend shipping anything you can't live without through the student store."

"He's in fully vacay mode!!!" Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Hooty yelped out in shock. Y/n and Owlbert just blinked with thier jaws open slightly.

"A Hawaiian shirt in the middle of Winter! This guy's ready to become a snowbird down south." Ace commented with wide eyes.

"He's not even trying to hide where he'd rather be." Deuce sighed out.

"I thought I've seen everything. But now.... Now, I've seen everything." Y/n said with wide eyes shocked.

"Hey you, Headmaster! We've got a bone to pick!" Grim said as the First-years approved the crow dressed for vacation.

"Oh, what are you all doing here?" Crowley said as he turned to face the First-years.

"Are you really looking for a way to know more about my parents or...?" Y/n asked, raising an eyebrow and crossing her arms.

"Ah! Aaaahhhh!! Answers about your parents. Hahaha. Don't be like that, of course I'm looking." Crowley said to Y/n, trying to cover up the fact that he wants to leave the School more than ever.

"That was a poor attempt..." Hooty sighed.

"My plan is to expand my research by going down south to see if I can find any leads." Crowley explained to Y/n. "For I am very serious."

"That's not what people wear for "Research"..." Ace sighed at the Headmaster's poor attempt to cover up his true intentions.

"Yeah yeah! You're just gonna take it easy, y'know!" Grim huffed at the headmaster.

"What are you talking about? This is how they dress in the south. You have to try to fit in when you visit foreign lands." Crowley agrued back. "Escaping this cold and spending time gazing upon the ocean while drinking coconut juice from a hammock... I am most definitely not thinking about enjoying to my fullest."

"Y-You sure went into detail...!" Deuce stuttered out.

"That's not fair! We wanna go to the south too!" Grim and Hooty huffed.

"Whaaat? That would completely ruin my fun..." Crowley muttered.

"Pardon?" Crowley looked up at the girl and froze to see that she had a death glare on him. So, he cleared his throat before continuing.

"There will be a great deal of danger involved in my investigation so I must go alone." Crowley gave another lie. "And i have a very important job for you to take care of here at school. It is a crucial task that affects the very existance of Night Raven Collage."

"He's getting full of himself again." Y/n sighed as she listens to what Crowley is about to say.

"If you were to accept this job then on top of your usual food expenses over vacation..." Crowley explained. Just the mention of food got Grim, and Hooty's attention. "I promise to provide you a great feast. With roasted turkey, cake, a gingerbread house... And how about I throw in thick and juicy spare ribs and a mountain of french fries, does that tickle your fancy?"

"Ffgna!? Thick and juicy spare ribs?" Grim yelped out.

"A mountain of french fries?" Hooty added. Hooty and Grim gulped.

"I suppose there's no harm in hearing you out." Grim said to Crowley.

"It doesn't take you much to pay you off..." Ace and Y/n sighed at the two creatures. Crowley cleared his throat once again before talking.

"All of the fires around campus, from the cafeteria to fireplaces, are maintained by fire fae." Crowley explained. "They have been living in the hearths in the main cafeteria for many years now... But if they are not given perfectly dried logs everyday, they will disappear. Without those fire fae, this school would be wrapped in a cold that would freeze it solid."

"I had noticed that even without a heater it's always nice and warm around here." Deuce stated.

"So it was magic." Ace commented.

"Guess so." Y/n said, lightly shrugging her shoulders.

"There is a ghost that supposed to be in charge during long holidays but..." Crowley trailed off for a bit. "His daughter had a child this year and has returned to the other side to meet his grandchild."

"Congrats to them." Y/n muttered.

"So I'd like you to take care of it in his stead." Crowley said to the Ramshackle residents.

"If it's to secure our food..." Y/n caved in when she saw the begging looks on both Grim and Hooty. "And a ghost has a grandchild...?"

"Let's just call it a miracle of love and leave it at that..." Crowley said to Y/n. "Back to the point, this is crucial if you'd like to stay warm over the holiday. All you have to do is move around some firewood daily and you can spend your holiday warm and with a full belly... It's two birds with one stone. Isn't this a wonderful arrangement?"

"This is a price of cake if you compare it to all the weird stuff you've made us clean up before!" Hooty said.

"Isn't it? This is what makes me ever so gracious." Crowley said proudly and smiling. "I almost forgot. Since I'll be gone for the duration of the break, I want to give you this." Crowley said as he pulled out something from his pocket.

"Ah, it's a smart phone." Ace said.

"Call me immediately with this if there's ever an emergency while I'm gone." Crowley said to Y/n who held the phone in her hand. "This is for emergency use only. Refrain from using it to eat up data by scrolling through Magicam. I have to get back to my very important duty of sending the students home so I'll leave the rest to the two of you. That's right, before I leave for i need to take a look at the sightseeing brochure. I'm just so so busy..."

"Great Seven, give me strength..." Y/n mumbled under her breath as Crowley soon left them alone.

"Nyaha! Now we're guaranteed a big ol' feast over the holiday!" Grim cheered.

"Looks to me that he really knows how to work you over... Well, as long as you guys are okay with it then it's fine." Ace said to the Ramshackle residents.

"Hey hey! No standing in the middle of the road, move move!" Soon, Ruggie came into the picture as he carried bags and bags with food in it and other things, plus, a cooler he's dragging behind him.
