SOMEWHERE AT THE SEA

Dany was standing at the end of the ship. She needed some time to think about the things that Tyrion and Sansa want from her. The air was almost icy, the dead must be close, but those clouds stopped above the Island of Dragonstone. She can see how the snowstorm rages violently a bit further. She had no idea what to think. The dead wanted to chase them away from the Island... or they wanted to kill them, but she doesn't understand, why they don't come further. It was clear the Night King can freeze the sea too, but they could escape on the other side. It was so strange. Everything was messy and worrisome. She placed her arms around her body to keep herself warmer, but a moment later she felt how someone placed a cape to her back. She squeezed the edge of it and looked back above her shoulder. She was not surprised. She knew it was Jon. He placed his arms around her body and put his chin to her shoulder.
"Missandei?" Dany asked him quietly.
"She is sleeping. And... I wanted to know that you are alright or not." he answered. "You disappeared."
"I just need some time alone, to think through it." she snuggled a bit closer to Jon. They heard a loud roar and Drogon flew through the air above them. "It is not going to work." she shook her head.
"What do you mean?" Jon frowned, and Dany turned to him. She shuddered because of the cold "Don't you wanna go inside?" he rubbed her arms.
"I wanna go back to Essos if I have a choice." She sighed. Jon nodded. He felt the same but they both know that wouldn't help. Their daughter would still be in danger if they just go back and the dead will win. Sooner or later the Night King will reach the other continent too. That was not a possible solution. Not to mention if the army of the dead win... there will be nothing left. No future for their daughter. Jon placed his arms around her and walked with her to their cabin.

"Much better here." Jon took a deep breath. "It's incredibly cold out there." He rubbed his palms. He kept his eyes on Dany and he saw how worried she is. He understood. He felt the same. He wanted to escape from reality. With his family. That was the only thing that mattered for him. His love and their daughter.
"They are close. Maybe closer than we think. Maybe they are following us and Kinvara's sacrifice was worthless." She glanced out at the window.
"It was not." Jon shook his head. "If she didn't help us... we'd be already dead. All of us. She gave us a chance." He explained.
"What should I do?" Dany turned to Jon. "I... I know it is our best chance to be close to Bran and kill him but what If ... Sansa or Tyrion betray us. What if I am not good enough? Bran probably has many guards and..." she blurted.
"Dany." He stopped her and looked into her eyes. "Stop. Please." He caressed her cheek. They heard Drogon's voice again. Dany lowered and shook her head.
"It won't work." She stepped away from Jon and her mind was clearly racing. Jon followed her with his eyes.
"You have to trust in yourself." He tried to give her strength.
"Even if I do." Dany took a deep breath. "Drogon will follow me. If I am leaving with them. Especially if I bring Missandei with me. Think about it. Is it believable that Sansa or Tyrion could catch us... while Drogon is there?" Dany spread her arms. "It's not." She pulled a face.
"What if I go with them?" Jon asked her after a minute of silence.
"Jon it is not possible. I mean it is even more unbelievable, that they could catch both of us. I... " She was staring at him questioningly.
"Bran needs our daughter. You... bringing you would be just some extra. He wants our daughter. Not you." Jon started to explain. "What if we act that they caught me and our daughter?" He raised his brow. "And I am still one of the best swordsmen in Westeros. I can keep her safe."
"More than me," Dany admitted.
"But I won't ... I can't leave you here facing the other enemy." Jon shook his head.
"I can uphold them. With Drogon." Dany answered.
"No." Jon protested. "No. I won't agree with you to do that."
"There is no good option." she sighed. "Believe me, I wish that... we could do this together, face both of our enemies together, but ... that ... that is not possible." Dany was filled with fear.
"Do not expect me to leave you here to face with thousands of dead people," Jon begged her.
