Griffin and his family had gone to Chicago for the summer. Harper and Griffin were upset that they wouldn't be able to see each other all summer. But after 3 long months, the Campbell's were headed back to Louisiana.

Let's just say that Griffin and Harper both had a major glow up over the three months.

Here's how they left:

And let's just say, Griffin caught up height wise.

The Dunn's were parked in front of the Tremont, waiting for the Campbell's to get there. Ben's truck pulled in and parked and Griffin jumped out of the car and ran over to Harper. They hugged and when they finally pulled away, Harper's mouth dropped open in shock.

She looked up at him. UP! Over the past few years, let's jut say Griffin hadn't exactly had a growth spurt. He was always a foot shorter than Harper. And now the roles were reversed.

"This is weird. Get shorter Campbell." Harper said, jokingly punching his arm.

Meanwhile, Griffin couldn't believe how beautiful Harper was. She went from cute to beautiful.

Harper thought the same about Griffin. He went from adorable and puppyish to HOT. She never thought she'd ever say that about her best friend.

"I'd say we have a lot of catching up to do." Griffin said. "Besides, I rather enjoy looking down to look you in the eyes, instead of up." He smirked.

........

The went upstairs and sat on Griffin's bed. Griffin was glad to be home. Harper was glad to have him home as well.

"You got tall." Harper said, still unbelieving.

"And you, have a one track mind." Griffin laughed.

Harper laughed.

"Yeah, I guess I do."

"You look beautiful." Griffin said. Harper noticed he was calm when he said that. That's one thing she'd miss. His shyness, and how she could do the smallest thing to make him flustered. He always looked adorable when he was flustered.

"3 months in Chicago and you got bolder. That's like me coming right out and saying you look hot." Harper smirked.

"Would you say that?" Griffin asked.

"Don't fish for compliments." Harper raised and eyebrow and chuckled.

"I'm takin' that as a yes." Griffin said. Harper laughed.

Harper finally did something that she had wanted to do since she met him, or since that night on the porch. She tilted her chin up and leaned in.

There it is! The flustered look that she loved so much. That just gave her more motivation. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned in until her lips were connected with his. She felt him take a sharp breath in. She stroked his hair and felt him relax. He placed his hands on her hips and they stayed like that for a few seconds.

Harper lifted her lips off of his, and looked deep into his beautiful brown eyes. His face was still as red as a tomato and his eyes shifted uncomfortably.

"Too soon?" Harper asked.

"Never." Griffin replied, his unphased (fake) demeanor returning.
