Y/N Y/L/N POV
We reached the car and everyone was scattered around it.
"Bro, what the fuck was that sound?" Blaise asked, running up to us.
"My goodness, are you all ok?" Astoria spoke, worried.
"We're fine," I reassured and went in for a hug.
"It was nothing." Tom lied.
"Oh, what happened to the waitress?" Theodore questioned.
"We left her behind after Tom spotted a death fairy," Mattheo explained.
"A what?" Astoria asked.
Tom grabbed my hand and we all walked back into the car.
As soon as we entered, Tom started to glare at Lola and she glared back.
-
The car started and Blaise began to drive. I sat in silence as Mattheo kept trying to explain what happened to the rest of the group.
Draco just kept staring at Mattheo talk and Tom obviously sat beside me.
I really should forget what that thing said. Honestly, why did Draco lie to Tom? The thing said plenty. But I'm not surrounded by liars and traders, I'm surrounded by friends. Whatever, I'm not going to tire myself out like this.
I laid my head on Tom's shoulder, my eyes slowly closing.
"Poor you. I'm the least of your problems."... "...by liars. I can smell the heaps of betrayal..." its shaky voice rang in my head.
My eyes opened and I looked around the car. It's ok. I'm alright. I closed my eyes again.
"Two..two of them....to be threeee.." it continued.
I pressed my eyelids tighter together and groaned.
"Betrayal...traders...secrets..oh there are soooooo many se.." it cooed.
Then a high-pitched giggle rained through my mind. I tried to block it out, but it continued. I was helpless against this.
My eyes opened and the voice slowly died down. I raised my head off Tom's shoulder, earning his attention.
"It's ok, love. You can use my shoulder." Tom spoke.
I looked up at him and shook my head no.
"I'm good. How long before we're at the hotel?" I asked.
"Not long. Why?" He answered.
"I just want some sleep on a bed," I replied and yawned.
"Mhm."
"Hey, Tom, can you tell me more about the death fairies?" I asked.
"Why..?" He questioned.
"I don't know. You know how I'm always interested in mythical creatures." I made up.
"Really, because I thought you slept through Mythical Creatures in 4th year." He caught on.
"I...I did not. Just tell me." I stuttered.
Tom chuckled and I rolled my eyes.
"Ok, what do you want to know?" He complied.
My eyes brightened and a smile appeared.
"Why do you mean they drive you to kill yourselves?" I began.
"They do whatever they can to drive you mad, insane, hopeless, and until your heart is black from pain. Well, once you take your life as I said before, your soul is theirs." He answered.
"Oh..and those creatures are drawn to.."
"People who are easy. With that, a little tweak here, a whisper or whatever there, next thing you know, you're holding a knife against your heart. The more they put you through, the more black and I guess delicious your soul is." Tom continued.
"Cool. So once they choose you, that's it?" I asked.
"Yes, but good thing that creature is dead." Tom sighed and I nodded.
"Well, why did it come after me and Draco?" I put forward.
"I guess that it's a stray. Probably lost and just bumped into the two of you." He spoke.
"Right, last thing. The creature knew Draco's name. How?"
Tom raised his eyebrows and I swear I saw him smile.
"Oh, well once it chooses you, they start to inherit your background and begin to know everything about you. That's how they find your weaknesses." He cooed.
"Well good thing it's dead." I moved out.
"Yea," Tom smirked.
"I mean because it also knew m-," I started.
"Alright, we're home baby!" Blaise yelled.
"Finally," Theodore groaned.
Whatever, this is not important.
We started to get up and move out of the car.
"What were you saying?" Tom asked.
"Oh..never mind." I smiled and followed the group into the hotel.
We checked in and went back to our room. I bellyflopped onto the bed and Astoria and Lorenzo did too.
"Careful, you just ate," Draco warned us.
I walked to the closet and began to take out nightclothes. A t-shirt and shorts should do fine
I brought it out and locked myself in the bathroom.
"I'm next," I heard Astoria call out.
I began to quickly change. I made my way to the sink and began to brush my teeth. Suddenly, I didn't feel so alone. My eyes shifted up and through the mirror, a girl stood. A grin across her face. She had wavy black hair, black eyes, in a white dress that was missing pieces and looked like it had been through some mud.
My eyes widened and I quickly blinked. Suddenly, she was gone. What the fuck? Was this place haunted or something?
I finished and exited the bathroom.
"Theodore, is this place fucking haunted?" I questioned.
They all began to look at me.
"No," he answered.
"Then why is there a girl in the bathroom?" I began.
"Are you sure you're not just seeing things?" Lola scoffed.
"Shut up Lola." Tom spat.
"What did she look like? Is she still there?" Astoria asked, coming up to me.
"No, she's gone" I replied as Astoria and Blaise both walked into the bathroom.
"Nothing," Blaise spoke.
"Maybe you're just tired." Theodore yawned.
I walked over to my bed and laid down.
"Maybe." I sighed.
Tom sat next to me and looked down at me.
"You'll be ok." He spoke.
I smiled and sat up to hug him.
He didn't immediately hug back, but groaned and whined. I giggled and his hand soon wrapped around my body.
"We should all get some sleep. It's really late." Draco announced.
Tom let me go and I climbed in bed. Tom started to change beside the bed and climbed into the bed with me as well. Everyone was getting changed and going to bed.
I felt his hands around my waist, pulling me closer to him. I blushed and smiled. We were spooning each other and me being the small spoon.
I closed my eyes. After a few seconds, I heard a scream. My eyes bolted open, suddenly, the room was all dark. I got up and a hand pulled me down.
"Where do you think you're going?" Tom hissed into my neck.
I turned around to face him.
"W-what? How long have I been sleeping?" I asked.
"3 hours. Now go back to sleep." He answered.
"You're playing, right? It's only been a few seconds." I spoke.
"Shush love. You passed out the second your head reached the pillow, go back to sleep." He continued in his sleepy voice.
I looked around the room, scared. Oh well.
I snuggled into Tom and kept my eyes wide open.
"Tom, I need help," I whispered.
"Tomorrow." He rasped.
Ok..how would I explain this to him. How the hell am I losing time. Why is everything so weird now?
I closed my eyes, praying nothing would happen. It was silent. God, thank you. I was tired..really tired.
-
"Are you sure the dragon can do this?" Theodore asked Charlie.
"Yes, I understand your struggles and I've practiced. Just give me the bottle." Charlie replied with.
Charlie held it to the dragon's mouth.
"Kñwšëé" he hissed.
The dragon began to open his mouth. Small streams of good and silver entered the bottle, turning into water form.
Charlie closed the bottle and handed it back to Theodore.
"There, dragon's breath," Charlie said.
"Thank you!" Theodore thanked him and started to walk back to us.
Oddly familiar this was.
"They lied." A screech came.
-
My eyes opened and it was morning. I sat up and people were getting dressed.
"Finally, you're up," Tom spoke.
I turned my head to him. He was all dressed and ready.
"W-what time is it?" I asked.
"Afternoon. Let's go, we're getting food." Theodore answered.
