Swimming Through The Ashes
Appeared in the dark for a taste of love.
Not for just a sample, or a touch.
Pushed away for a cleared up world.
One not simply, so absurd.
In these times of hiding what you feel.
Keep the locked up,
no one could ever heal.
Whatever happened to the young girl's soul?
Swallowed by pain, as she slowly fades away.
I'm standing at a crosswords lwith no directions.
Pushing through the ashes to start another day.
Looking for reasons to accept the way things have changed.
Swimming through the ashes of another life.
Send a whisper to the unborn child.
Listen for its cries in the open wild.
In a box, underneath the guilt.
Wrapped in lies,
ceiled in goodbye's
Whatever happened to the young girls heart?
Stolen by pain as she slowly fell apart.
