They all went back to their dorm rooms after the competition. Turns out Sato won the game, only because the girls were thoroughly impressed by his cooking skills and won them over with sugary treats. Mineta and Kaminari practically threw a fit at the news, confronting him about his tactics of winning both the tournament and the girls' hearts.
Kira had chosen to relax outside on her balcony, allowing herself a pretty glamourous view of UA, as she leans over the railing slightly and glances down the left of the dorm building. UA's location has always been ideal - atop a mountain, surrounded by woodland on every side. Kira's forearms rest on the chilly metal railing, a cool breeze scooping her hair off her shoulders. Her curtains flapped behind her, before relaxing and gently stroking the ground next to her feet.
She sighed then, her mind boggled. Bakugou's words could have been misinterpreted as a threat - "this conversation isn't over." But, Kira knows that he's curious. He wants answers. Thing is, so does she.
Back at the League of Villain's base, that schoolgirl tricked her, but Kira has no idea how. How did she know about her? What did she do? It must have something to do with her Quirk. However, if that is indeed the case, why didn't she just kill her already and get it over with? Why toy with her?
Another breeze stroked the skin of her bare shoulders and she spun around before sliding down, her back to the railing. Her head hurt from everything: All Might's retirement, the new dorm situation, Bakugou, Kirishima, the League of Villains. She grabbed her hair tightly but let go almost as quickly. Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow she'll get answers.
With one knee up and the other straight, Kira relaxed her arm on her raised leg, her eyes feeling heavy and her head thumping. She could sleep out here in the cool, calming wind if she really wanted to.
Well, that is until she heard a scream.
Kira was on her feet immediately, her Quirk brimming brightly on her arms. She nearly melted her railing when she gripped it furiously, leaning over for the source of the cry. Barely visible due to her Quirk, Toru, a floor below her and to the left slightly had her curtain wrapped around her... from what she could tell anyway, it was hard to determine what was really happening when her friend was invisible.
"Toru!" Kira calls out from above and she sees the curtain rustle in response. "Wha- what the hell is going on!? Are you okay?"
The curtain rustles again, a bigger movement this time. "Over there! A monster or a villain!"
"A what!?" Kira frowns down at her friend, before directing her gaze down to the forest.
There standing on the trail, as if analysing the building is class B's eccentric Monoma.
"Monoma!" Kira yells, cancelling her Quirk. "What are you doing out there?"
He looks up the building at the sound of his name, using his hand to shield his eyes from any light that might block his sight.
"You gonna let me in or what?" He replies nonchalantly.
By now, others have peeked out from their dorm balcony's at the ruckus, only to roll their eyes at the sight of class B's idiot.
Nevertheless, Kira, along with her classmates, make their way down to the ground floor, where Monoma waits at the main door, tapping his foot impatiently.
Iida, being one of the more responsible students, swings the door open a fraction. "Do you have any idea what time it is? You should be back in your dorm-"
"Oh, calm down," Monoma interrupts, helping himself in through the other double door, swinging it open wildly and strutting into class A's dormitory.
Kira and the others follow him around as he examines every nook and cranny, opening the cabinets in the kitchen and then removing the cushions from the sofas.
"Since no one's asking, I will," Kira sighs, knowing she's going to regret it. "What do you want?"
"Nothing," he answers, finally plopping down onto one of the chairs in their living space. "Just wanted to check out your dorm."
"Why?" She pushes.
"Doesn't matter. We win anyway."
"Why has everything gotta be a competition with you, man?" Kirishima asks, his hair down flat as if he were already in bed.
Monoma just laughs at that, as if Kirishima told a really hilarious joke. Kira and her classmates share an uncertain glance with one another as the bizarre student continues to slowly cackle to himself.
"You've had a look around," Iida says, swinging his arms around. "Time to leave."
Monoma side-eyes Iida, a mischievous twinke in his eyes. "Not quite."
Before anyone can question his motives, Monoma leaps up from the sofa and everyone jumps back, as if he might explode. They all follow after like a huddle of ducklings trying to keep up with their mother, as Monoma makes a beeline for the lift, jabbing the button excessively.
He mutters something along the lines of his 'lift being quicker' or something before it dings and Kira and her classmates bundle into the lift, determined not to let Monoma out of their sights.
"Now, then." Monoma dusts his hands together, as if he's about to perform something extremely challenging. "Who's first?"
Class 1A stand in a bewildered huddle as Monoma bursts into Aoyama's dorm, opening the door with such force that they all hear it smack against the wall. Aoyama being part of the crowd jumps out of his skin and rushes forwards.
"Oh my-" Kira hears Monoma's tone from inside. "It's way too bright in here."
Aoyama falters midstep, looking awfully smug at the comment. "Oh, well thank you. I was worried it wasn't flashy enough."
He then follows up by striking one of his tell-tale poses, sparkles practically radiating off of him, but everyone's too dumbstruck by Monoma's bizarre behaviour as he approaches another room.
"Midoriya, huh?" Monoma reads the plaque on the wall beside the door.
"No-no-no-no-no!" Midoriya squeals out, sprinting for Monoma.
The class have already seen his room, so what has he got be embarrassed about? Then again, this is Monoma. Midoriya can handle a bit of innocent teasing from his classmates about what an All Might fanboy he is, but from Monoma...
"Ha!" They hear Monoma bark, followed by a handclap. "I knew it! I. Knew. It."
Monoma then struts out of Midoriya's room, his arms crossed over his chest and his head held high, with his eyes closed. He then pauses, seemingly for dramatic effect, before tilting his head down to the confused class A and opening his eyes.
"A total All Might fanboy," he finishes, followed by a triumphant huff. "I've seen what I need to see-" the class sigh in relief "-from this floor."
Monoma then continues to judge each floor, selecting a few rooms, calling them too serious, or boring, or insightly. When they come across Kirishima's room, Monoma whips out a photograph, portraying a room nearly identical to Kirishima's.
"What's that?" Kirishima points to the frame in Monoma's hand, his nose crinkled in confusion.
"I can't believe this!" Monoma says instead. "Of course you two would be the same!"
"What are you talking about?" Kirishima asks again. "Who's room is that?"
"Tetsutetsu's," Monoma replies finally.
Kira knew that they were already fairly similar in many ways, but their rooms only have one difference: the curtains. Kirishima's have ocean waves on them whereas, Tetsutetsu's have heavy metal covering them. It's almost freaky how alike they are, as if they're long lost brothers.
Thankfully, Monoma didn't judge Kira's room at all. Actually, he didn't go into any of the girl's rooms. Kira accompanied her classmates back down to the ground floor, as Monoma attains his smug, superior demeanour about him.
"So, it's true then. This clears it up." He stands apart from them dramatically, hugging himself tightly, as if embracing his own cleverness.
Kaminari decides to take the bait. "What does?"
"Clearly, 1A is inferior to 1B," he starts, spinning around to them, his arms still wrapped tightly around his body. "You're basically undisciplined compared to us." He then swings his arms out wildly, as if he were performing on some stage show. "We. Win!"
Just when she thought it couldn't get any worse, Monoma then starts to practically dance on the spot, as if he were a jester trying to please his master with cheap tricks, chanting "we win, we win, we win' repeatedly.
All class A can do is watch in complete bewilderment as the provocative class B student mocks them unequivocally, prancing about like a wild horse. That is until, Itsuka Kendo appears out of nowhere and whacks him on the back of the neck with such ferocity that Monoma collapses onto his face, knocked out stone-cold.
"Oh, thank God," Mina breathes out, with a hand on her chest. "I was starting to get worried."
"That's one word for it," Toru adds.
Itsuka then looks up to the frazzled class A students, frustration evident in her eyes. It's no secret that Monoma does this frequently, always teasing and claiming his superiority over 1A.
"I am so sorry about him," she tells them, glaring down at Monoma's unconscious body. "He is unbelievably embarrassing."
Kira and the others blink at Itsuka.
"It's practically identical to ours," Tetsutetsu says from beside Itsuka. Kira didn't even realise he was there. "You were right, Pony."
Kira then spots the other female beside Tetsutetsu, her eyes gazing around the living area. Kira had met them already at the Training Camp, but thankfully Tetsutetsu reminded Kira of her name.
Kira and her classmates stare at the class B students and they stare right back.
"Sorry," Itsuka squeaks out again.
"I was searching for a weakness," Monoma grumbles out from underneath Itsuka's foot, and Kira's eyes widen at his crumpled frame.
"Shut up," Itsuka warns through gritted teeth, kicking him in the ribs, before flashing Kira and the others a kindly smile, apologising profusely once more.
"Fine, fine," Monoma continues, his voice muffled from his face being squashed into the carpet. "I was just hanging out. Is that better?"
"Wow," Midoriya mumbles from the crowd. "Monoma has a will of steel."
"Hey, Kirishima!" Tetsutetsu blurts out as if he only just noticed that the redhead was standing there amongst the crowd.
"Tetsutetsu!" Kirishima replies the friendly gesture, as the class B students make their way over to greet one another. "Monoma showed me your room," he adds. "It's super manly."
Sometime during the confrontation during Monoma and Itsuka, Momo and Sato had disappeared but briefly returned with a collection of sweets. They offer the sort to class B, which they gratefully accept. All the students mingle to the sofa's where they sink into an excited chatter, ignoring Monoma's pleas to be released from Itsuka's death grip.
"I have to see your room then," Toru was saying to Itsuka, bouncing up and down on the sofa.
"These sweets... suck!" Monoma tries to insult, yet keeps stuffing his face with the delicious delights.
Kaminari plucks a sweet from the bowl, eyeing Monoma. "Oh yeah? Well, so do you! And why are you judging our rooms for? Yours is probably the most obnoxious thing ever!"
Monoma freezes with a sweet inches from his lips, glaring at Kaminari with a hint of eager mischief. "Wow, that's a big word for you, Kaminari." He then narrows his eyes mockingly. "Did you strain yourself?" He points to his forehead, sweet still in between his fingers. "Does your head hurt?"
"Man, shut up!" Kaminari lobs one of the sofa cushions at him.
Monoma cackles with victorious glee, kicking his legs up childishly, while Kaminari starts to cuss the class B jester, lifting the bowl of sweets up and scattering them around the room in an attempt to whack Monoma unconscious.
"Kaminari!" Momo yells, her eyes widening at the mess their classmate has made.
Monoma grins in delight at the scene.
"Seriously, Kaminari, you know better than to rile Monoma up," Kira adds, picking up some sweets that have fallen around her feet.
"If you're really interested..." Monoma starts, standing up abruptly, so all eyes are on him.
"We're really not," Kira deadpans, staring up at the boy.
"This is what my room looks like," he finishes, ignoring Kira's comment and revealing a picture of his dorm room.
Kira rolls her eyes but finds herself intrigued, as do her classmates as they too stop scooping up the sweets from the floor and peek over each others shoulders to see the picture. Based on the 'oohs' and 'aahs', its not as bad as they assumed. Kira peers through a gap and is able to spot pastel walls, pristine, white, antique furniture. It had a very French atmosphere about it, for some reason.
"Actually, you know what, it's..." Momo starts, but is unable to find the correct adjective.
"Yeah," Mina adds, hesitating slightly, her finger on her chin. "I get you, it's sort of... kind of..."
"It's stylish!" Toru saves her classmates the struggle.
Complimenting Monoma is the last thing everyone wanted, but his room had a certain flair about it. That still doesn't give him the right to trash everyone else's rooms while he's at it, though. Kira approved of Kaminari's room - it was stylish in it's own way. Ojiro's isn't plain, it has character in his way. Aoyama's is unique.
"What about you, Itsuka?" Momo wonders. "What's your room like?"
"I have a picture of that too," Monoma says simply, and Itsuka flashes him a look before smacking him on the back of the head.
Monoma holds up the picture with his face down on the sofa in a daze. Itsuka allows class A to gaze at the photo, but she doesn't look happy about it, with her arms crossed over her chest and a frown set on her brows.
Kira definitely approved of Itsuka's room - it had an old wooden table in the middle, surrounded by black furniture. There was a picture of a motorcycle on the walls.
"It's manlier than mine!" Tetsutetsu comments and Itsuka hides her face in embarrassment.
"It's awesome," Kira practically whispers, still in awe over her style.
Before anyone can ask, Monoma whips out a picture of Pony's room and Tetsutetsu has to hold the small girl back from pummeling him.
Her room is completely covered top to bottom in anime figures and posters. It's worse than Midoriya's. Toru loses her mind over a certain anime, and Pony shares her excitement at having similar interests. Midoriya then butts in on the conversation, obsessing over a rare All Might figure that she owns.
Monoma then shoves the pictures back where they belong and gets up from the sofa abruptly once again.
"I'm leaving," he says dramatically.
"Oh no," Kaminari stands up quickly, blocking his way with his arms extended.
"We're not letting you away that easily, especially after you came here to our dorm room to judge us." Ojiro joins Kaminari to block Monoma's way, using his tail to create a barricade.
Monoma crosses his arms over his chest, turning his head to the side with his eyes closed defiantly. He then opens one eyes and smirks cheekily. "Fine, then. I have an idea."
"What?" Kaminari questions, lowering his arms slightly.
"I propose a competition," he says. "I win, then you let me leave."
"And if we win?" Ojiro asks.
"Then... you can tease me to your hearts content."
Kira leans on the sofa, her arm resting on the back. "That's not a very fair proposal," she argues. "We taunt you regardless."
"She's right." Kaminari nods. "We need something more than that."
Monoma grunts irritably, rolling his eyes. "We can figure something out afterwards. Now, then" - he claps his hands, before facing the students - "the game choice."
Monoma ponders for a bit, rubbing his chin. He offers a few choices but they're all shot down for one reason or another. Just when it seems deciding on a game is hopeless, Shoto Todoroki enters the dormitory, holding a barrel-shaped toy.
