Filler and short, sorry...I've had a busy day.

I watch the girls as they run around the small playground near my apartment, it's mostly empty, we're the first people to come today, I think. Cailyn chases Theresa around and around the playground, jumping on and off the playground equipment. Sometimes they're content to play alone, other times I have to play with them, helping them think of a game to play and get started. Today seems to be one of those day as Cailyn comes trudging over a few minutes later.

"Mommy I'm bored." she pulls on my hand, knowing from previous experience that I will get up and help them find something to do. "I think Theresa is too. You should help us." she pouts slightly.

"You two need to think up your own games, but I will see what I can do." I follow her out to where Theresa is sitting on one of the swings on the swingset. "So what do you two want to do? Any ideas? Let's brainstorm."

I pull them close to me and make buzzing noise. They giggle and scrunch up their faces as if they're contemplating the way the universe works. "Maybe puppets?" Cailyn suggests. I shake my head at her.

"Where would we get the puppets mija? We would have to go home and you said that you wanted to go to the park just half an hour ago. What about something that we can play on the playground? Like Simon Says?" Theresa frowns and shakes her head. "Okay, well how about hide and seek?"

"But that's too slow!" Cailyn protests. I raise an eyebrow at her, pointedly glancing over at Theresa. She's watching Cailyn and is frowning a little.

"Do you think it's boring too Tessie?" she nods, with a slight hesitation. "Well...how about we play a more exciting version of hide and seek?" They exchange interested glances.

"More exciting? How?" Cailyn asks. They've moved a little closer and are listening more closely.

"Whoever is looking, who is doing the seeking, they're also a tickle monster. And when they find someone who is hiding they will try to tickle them! If you can make it back to home base before they find you or run really fast after they've found you, then you will be safe. But if they catch you...then you'll get tickled!!" I reach out and start tickling their sides, making them dart away. "Sound like fun?"

"Are you going to be the tickle monster?" Cailyn says while Theresa nods her head excitedly.

"I will be, and you two had better start hiding because I'm about to start counting!! The swingset here is our home base okay?" I turn around and start counting. This is one of the reasons that I love playing with children so much, you have a good excuse to play all the fun games again.
