Change of heart

Liam settles back into his seat and glances from one face to another, serious again. "Does someone want to explain exactly what is going on here? I seem to be the last one to find out about it, whatever it is."

Louis shrugs and shifts around until he's more comfortable next to Harry. I watch him expectantly but he doesn't say anything. I glance to Harry, who is actually paying attention to me. I make a slight gesture towards Louis as if asking him to make Louis say something. Harry turns his head slowly and looks down at Louis resting on his arm. His thoughtful gaze quickly turns into a fawning and loving smile. 

With a slight grumble I say in a loud (but not loud enough to be clearly heard outside of the living room) voice, "What is going on? I can't seem to remember exactly what you said, Louis." I stare at him pointedly as he lazily tilts his head so he can peak towards me.

"I said 'he's as far gone as you isn't he' I believe. Or something along those lines." He smirks and brushes a few stray pieces of his fringe back into place. "I could have sworn you had heard me perfectly fine, by the way you reacted."

"Louis!" I physically scoot away from him. "Wha-why-what happened to maybe he didn't understand or hear correctly?" I don't dare look at Liam to see how he's interpreting what Louis has, essentially, just told him point blank.

"I changed my mind." Louis says flippantly. "It's probably better that he knows anyway." Harry winces in sympathy for me above Louis but doesn't say anything. 

"I..." I shake my head at Louis, lost for words. I know that he's been Liam's friend, no scratch that! I know that he's been one of Liam's best friends for a long time now, but I thought that he was my friend too. Why would he suddenly sabotage me, I thought we had agreed to keep what I was beginning to feel from Liam. "I can't believe you." I say quietly. I would almost suspect that Louis hadn't heard me if I had seen his facial expression twitch slightly.

"Let me see if I'm understanding this correctly," Liam butts into the conversation. "Isabella has...feelings for me?"
