Finally the team had gotten back together and gotten over the disagreement. Now the avengers were alive and kicking and better than ever. Yes, sadly Tony had been given the full control over the advertisement and seen as the world didn't exactly trust the team, he was doing his best to convince them that we weren't planning on world annihilation.

In the recreation of the avengers you were starting off with a few smaller cases, going off in pairs or small groups until you had a large case that you could work on together.

Due to being the youngest of the original avengers you had been given the role of keeping an eye on Peter. Tony wanted to, seen as he had taken a shining to Spiderman, however Steve thought it'd be better for you to work along with Peter as you were also a teenager.

You hadn't gotten to speak to him yet but from what you could tell you would probably get along although you were completely different in your superhero life. He had enhanced abilities, whereas you had complex ability in hand to hand combat.

It did feel weird though. You were walking through an old dark warehouse, and he was wearing an onesie. It was a peculiar choice in outfits as was a gimmick in being a spider, however you weren't going to argue, he got the job done nevertheless. On the other hand you just wore a hoodie and jeans with trainers.

The others had tried to encourage a costume of sorts, even if it was comfortable, but you were happy with your usual comfy clothing. It didn't matter what you were wearing but as long as you get this done.

There was a small group of drug dealers that were supposed to be working in and around this warehouse, so your job for today was to apprehend them.

"It's so dark in here I can't see a thing," Peter sighed as he walked by your side.

He found it hard adapting to your team. He was overly sociable, and was used to being able to make witty quips when fighting, but your team was not interested in that, conversation naturally came second to fighting.

It was clear Steve and Tony had come down hard on Peter, and he had become unnerved by the fact that you did try to make everything serious, even if you could make jokes between you where you could just not with the people you were fighting. It was rather out of character for Tony to encourage serious behaviour, but it was easier for him to tell Peter to make no jokes than to explain when he can and can't.

But you weren't Tony or Steve. You wanted to make him comfortable, and possibly encourage him to stop wearing his pyjamas to missions, but that could come later.

"Don't worry, I got this," you said softly resting a hand gently on his arm.

As soon as the words left your mouth, you stomped onto the ground. Lights flashed out of your heels. It glowed low, but gave Peter a clear view of your cheesy grin.

"Are you wearing sketchers?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Aren't those for kids?"

"Yes. But I have very small feet. And I find it fun that the last thing these bastards see is a flashing purple butterfly when I kick them in the face," you grinned.

"Does Steve know about that?" He questioned trying to hold back a smile.

You nudged his shoulder playfully.

"Don't worry about him Pete. We just don't converse with the enemy before fighting, but make jokes as much as you want with your team mates. We're your friends and we've got your back, and we will let you settle in before we begin to comment on your pjs. But appreciate the grace period of freedom to dress like that," you smiled, "now come on let's go kick some arse spider boy."

He groaned outwardly, "It's spiderman."

"Not wearing footsie pyjamas it's not."
