You adjusted your bag on your shoulder as you waited for the lift to reach the top floor of the Baxter Building. You usually visited your best friend around this time each day; your best friend was Sue Storm.

You had known Sue for a long time and as a result of being close with Sue you were close with her fiancée Reed, her brother Johnny and Reed's best friend Ben.

Of course, you were aware of their abilities and it was kind of hard not to notice Ben's ability. You knew Johnny always teased Ben about the way he looked now but Ben handled it pretty well most of the time.

The lift doors opened and you walked out to the living room "Hey Y/N" Johnny said hugging you "Hey Storm" you said hugging him back "You know, I don't like that fact that you are taller than me" you said playfully "I have always been taller than you Y/N" he said smirking.

You dumped your stuff in the kitchen before you walked over to Ben "Hi Ben" you said and he hugged you as best he could "Hello Y/N. How are you?" he asked and you smiled "I'm alright thanks. Work has been a little stressful though" you said.

Johnny came over and smirked "Look at wittle Ben talking to his crush" Johnny said in a baby voice and Ben glared at him "Don't Johnny" you said glaring at him yourself.

"God I hate that glare Y/N/N" you laughed as Johnny whined "Then stop it" you said crossing your arms "Okay, fine" he said raising his hands in defence and walking off.

You turned back to Ben "Sorry about him" he apologised but you shrugged it off "It's fine. Johnny has been like that for a while but it doesn't bother me anymore" you explained and he nodded.

Even though you knew Johnny was notorious for messing around, you couldn't help but wonder if he was actually being truthful about Ben and that he was just teasing Ben for it because that wouldn't be anything new.

Before you had a chance to ask Ben, Sue walked in "Y/N" she squealed running over to you. You laughed and got up to hug her "Hey Sue" you said laughing "Don't say you have missed me. You saw me yesterday" you commented as you knew what she would say.

"Don't I have the right to miss my best friend?" she asked sarcastically and you nodded "Maybe" you said and she rolled her eyes.

Sue went to find Reed which left you with Ben again.

You looked at Ben and he smiled at you "Y/N" he said which caught your attention "Yes?" you asked sitting back down next to him.

"What Johnny said was true" he said nervously "I have a crush on you"
