You and your fiancé Jane had just moved into your new apartment but it wasn't what you expected. As it was on the other side of the country you hadn't had a chance to personally go to it but you had spoken to the seller and seen pictures of it all. From what you had seen it seemed like it was perfect, it looked so beautiful and it seemed like the perfect home for you and Jane.

Just now you were here it wasn't so clear. You still thought it was perfect in appearance, but there was one major issue. It was infested. The realtor never told you about this infestation but now you and she were in an argument over the phone.

"Squirrels! You sold me an apartment inhabited by demon rodents. Do you hate me? What have I ever done to you? Don't you dare hang up on me-"

You had been speaking to her for the last twenty minutes but she had hung up on you after you practically ignoring whatever she was saying whilst venting out your anger.

Jane rubbed your back softly letting out a sigh as you put your phone onto the arm of the sofa.

"It's okay, we'll stay in a hotel tonight and tomorrow we'll go to the realtor's office and get her to sort this out," she sighed.

"No, we are not giving in, these squirrels will not win," you hissed holding onto the broom as your legs were curled up to your chest.

Neither of you wanted to put your legs down as there were vicious squirrels that kept scurrying across the floor. Sadly for Jane you were very stubborn and you weren't about to just leave your apartment to be overrun by the evil bushy tailed vermin, you were going to shoo them from your home and if need be beat them with a broom. You didn't want to kill them but you wouldn't be sad if they jumped out of your window.

"Are you planning to start a war with the squirrels?" she asked, "please don't."

"Do you think the Avengers have side jobs as squirrel murderers?" You questioned.

She sighed wrapping an arm around your shoulders, pressing her lips to your cheek.

"Please can we just go to a hotel? I don't want to have to stay here with the bloodthirsty squirrels," she sighed.

"The realtor doesn't want to help our problem and no exterminators are going to come here tonight. I'm not letting these little shites eat all of our stuff," you practically growled.

She chuckled softly.

"This is going to be a long night."
