"Are there any negative side effects to the testing phase?" Sam asked softly, looking at you expectantly.
"Only what I input into the devices so far. The more you struggle to use your powers, the weaker you get" you saw that Bruce and Tony were uncomfortable with the question. "It took a few minutes to recover once they were taken off. The good news is, it works as intended. It also means that there is time to put them into a cell before their powers come back at full strength"
"Are you sure you should be testing them on yourself?" Steve took a bite of toast.
"I'm the only enhanced in the building, for one. Besides, I wouldn't want to test on anyone else. I created them; I need to know if they need to be modified. I wouldn't put anyone else through it unless its necessary" you shrugged. "I did make some for super soldiers in case we run into any of those, they are the only ones I can't test myself"
"Test them on me" Bucky offered.
"No, I'll take point on that one punk" Steve shook his head.
"I'd rather not test it on either one of you" you shrugged.
"I'll test it on them" Tony offered with a grin.
"We don't know if the side effects are the same" you shook your head. "We will have to test them in the field"
"We can't go into the field without having tested them. I see your point, but let's test it on Steve" Bruce spoke up. "He technically runs the team with Tony and has more sonority than Bucky"
"Alright, you need to report to the lab after lunch" you grimaced. "You'll have to wait for me to finish testing the taser, as well as the collar"
"Taser?" Bucky set down his fork to look at you.
"You'll need it in the field. I know Jeanette is still out there, I'm not taking any chances with the amount of enhanced they have created Bucky. Bruce will put it on a low dose of electricity for the test" you rubbed his arm affectionately.
"Are you ready for our spar session today?" Nat decided to change the subject.
"I wanted to spar her today" Bucky said quickly.
"We can all take a turn" Nat shrugged, and you grinned. "We can leave out weight training so you have time"
"I'm always up for a spar session with those sexy legs" Sam teased.
"I won't go easy on you today" Steve warned.
"I'm leaving the inhibitor off; I won't be going easy on you either" you grinned more to yourself. If they wanted to see what you were made of, you would gladly show them.
"Did you get your swimsuit washed?" Nat grinned at you.
"I did, Bucky did laundry for me so I could make the cookies" you smiled happily. "I'm looking forward to our swim later" Nat gave a small giggle from the look that Bucky gave you and leaned over to kiss you on the cheek. "You're going to get us both in trouble Kitten" she tapped your leg, before getting up to put her dishes away.
