The failed experiment (Bucky x reader)

First exam

When you walked into the training room, Nat was holding your hand. You saw a small team of agents watching you like you were some kind of piece of meat. You looked at each of them individually, and licked your bottom lip, biting down in it slightly.
"You'll be sparring only a few of them" Nat pulled you closer to her. You saw the rest of the Avengers walk in with Nick, Bucky catching your eye and smiling you still wearing his shirt.
"Why only a few?" you felt confused.
"We can't bruise all their ego's in one day, can we?" Nat grinned.
"Okay, Bravo team. Decide on who's going to take on Y/N. I only want three challengers for this assessment" Fury went and stood to the side while everyone else took a seat.
"I can take her" the biggest man, who looked to be an easy 250lbs of solid muscle looked at you up and down slowly, and you felt like he was doing more than sizing you up. You felt uneasy when his eyes focused on your hickey, and he gave a smirk. "So who's bitch are you?" he whispered, but you heard it. You saw Steve and Bucky straighten up, bristling at the words.
"Not yours" you taped your hands, looking him.
"We will see about that" he grinned.
"Fury, what are the rules? Three hits and its over, correct?" you stretched your arms, then your legs.
"That is correct" he nodded.
"Would you like the first hit?" you looked at the man staring you down very seriously.
"Are you trying to make fun of me?" he cocked an eyebrow.
"You have already made a few insinuations of myself. I was under the impression that you needed assistance with trying to win against me in a sparring match. May I give my own impression of you?" you crossed your arms and gave a smile looking him up and down slowly, taking in everything that you could. "I don't think I should fight you. Your favoriting your left leg, and I can see bruising on your cheek. You aren't in ideal shape for today"
"Oh sweetheart, its cute that you think you can take me down. Come to daddy" he beckoned you with two fingers, while Bucky growled and stood up to stand by Fury.
You anticipated that he was going to go with a left hook first and blocked it. When he went for a chest kick, you grabbed his leg and ducked under his right hook coming up and punched him under the chin with enough force that his eyes went back and he went down in one hit. You let him fall to the ground as a dead weight and cracked your knuckles.
"Can you wake him up for the next round please?" you looked at Fury.
"That will be sufficient for round one. Beta team, bring forward your next agent" he responded easily. You could tell the other team mates were a little startled.
"May I choose?" you saw that no one was moving forward. You pointed to a female that looked like a gymnast and had incredible muscle definition in her arms and legs. "You smiled when I hit him"
"He deserved it" she responded.
"Shall we?" you asked politely. She took a sparring position, nodding with a grin. The two of you went at one another like a dance. When she lunged at you, bringing a punch to your throat, you pulled yourself up over her shoulders and placed your knee between her shoulder blades pushing her forward. She went to push you off, you grabbed on her legs and gave her a light punch on the shoulder. It was a good twenty minutes before you got the third hit in. The only reason that you did, is because you could tell she was getting tired and needed a break. You were having fun playing with her.
"No need for a third" Fury announced. "I've seen enough" he sighed. Nat came over to inspect the wrapping on your hands and looking for any signs of injuries.
"It was only light punches, I think she could be a friend" you gave a soft smile.
"The other guy hasn't woke up yet" she chuckled.
"There's my girl" Bucky came over with a proud smile.
"Not yet Mister Barnes, according to the rules" you blushed a bit.
"How could I forget" he leaned forward and kissed you softly on the lips not caring who was watching.
"James" you blushed even more, looking down and biting your lip. "People are watching"
"I don't care doll" he pulled you to him, and kissed your cheek.
"Is this part of the touch therapy?" Pietro asked all of the sudden.
"I believe lady Y/N and Bucky are courting" Thor announced and you started unwrapping your hands.
"Y/N, can you come with me please?" Fury asked, however you knew it was more of an order. You moved away from the others and followed him down a hallway. He led you into a room that was full of guns and knives and targets placed at different distances.
"Now, without an audience. Can you hit the targets?" he asked, and you looked at him closely.
"With or without my powers?" you made your way to the table.
"Well, with your powers, I'm sure that you could do it perfectly. Let me see without them first" he crossed his arms.
"I haven't held a gun or knife for combat in eight years" you looked at them carefully trying to make your selection.
"Choose wisely" he smirked. You picked up a set of knives and looked at the target in front of you and started throwing the knives at it. He started a machine that would move the targets around automatically. You giggled and started throwing them sporadically. You ran out of knives, and he handed you a gun. You braced yourself and started shooting at the targets. After a moment he turned off the machines and turned on the lights bringing them all forward.
"Admit it, you sometimes practiced with a knife at least" you had hit mainly on the center of all the targets with both the knives and bullets.
"Its different against wood" you shrugged. "I prefer spears made of fire or ice for battle, but these do in a pinch"
"Your preference is noted. Your dismissed for the day" he walked out and you followed him until you got back to the residence area of the compound.
"Wait" you stopped him right before the common area. You looked at him curiously biting your bottom lip. "You didn't check my endurance"
"I didn't need to. I saw what I needed to see. You passed today" he gave a small smile. You gave a full smile and skipped to your room to change.
