Chapter 58: Toby's POV
After our make out session, we went back to Spencer's house to get our work on. As we walked in, I saw a strict looking man, presumably her dad.
"Hi...dad," Spencer said, surprised.
"Hey, Spence, who's the boy?"
"Um, this is Toby. Toby Cavanaugh."
That's it? I was upset she didn't tell her dad that we were dating. Was she ashamed of me?
"The one who was in jail?" Mr. Hastings asked.
"Juvie," I corrected him.
"Spence, what are you doing associating with him?"
"Um, I'm right here," I reminded him.
"He's my friend," Spencer told him. "Actually, he's my boyfriend, and we're in love," she said and grabbed my hand.
I can never forget the horrible color Mr. Hastings' face turned.
