Chapter 28: Toby's POV
OMG, Spencer was leaning in. What was she going to do? Was she going to kiss me? My heart started beating so fast. But instead, she hugged me. Her head was pressed against my chest. I was disappointed of course, but I tried to hide it and hugged her back. She was so warm and it felt so good to be holding her. I didn't want her to let go, but she did.
"I think it's really time for me to go," she said.
"Ya, I"ll walk you out."
We walk out the motel door and I realize she's still wearing my shirt. Should I ask for it back? But I didn't really want it back; she looked so much better in it than I did.
