You shook violently as you looked at the complete wreckage that was in front of you. Everyone was dead, and all of their blood was on your hands. Not literally, but metaphorically. You had become annoyed and before you knew it plants grew, killing people and you didn't know how to stop it. It annoyed you more when you saw people dying meaning it was a vicious cycle where everyone was being killed.
The tears fell down your face as you fell to your knees holding your face into your hands with you loud sobbing filling your own ears.
You didn't know what to do. Everyone was dead. You were a murderer. You killed them all and now you were on your own without any idea how to do anything but cry.
"It's okay Y/N," a British voice whispered.
Your tears halted for a moment. The voice didn't reach your ears it occurred in your head. How?
"We know it wasn't your fault, we are here to help you," the voice continued.
You looked up with blurry eyes, to see three men and a woman walking towards you.
Your legs were too weak to hold you, so you stayed kneeling on the floor confused as to who they were and why they were here. How did they find you? How was the voice in your head? There was so many questions running through your mind.
"It's okay, we want to help you," the voice said but this time it came from the man's mouth rather than from in your head.
"Is there something wrong with me?" you whispered, barely audible to your own ears let alone there's but somehow the British man heard you.
"Yes," he stated, shocking you by his response, "but it's the same thing that's wrong with all of us."
"We are mutants dear, so are you, non-mutants see as mistakes and that we aren't normal, but really we are more evolved than they are," one of the other men explained.
You were still confused. You were a mutant? So were they, so did that mean they all had abilities like yours?
"I killed them all. I didn't mean to, I couldn't control it," you whispered tearfully.
"It's fine Y/N, I am Charles Xavier. We are building a team of mutants, meaning that we can all work together to all learn all of our powers and to be able to protect people with them," the man smiled.
He stepped away from the group putting a hand out to help you up. Your legs were wobbly and you continued to cry. He gave you a pitiful smiled pulling you into a hug, allowing his arms to keep you stable, and letting you cry on his shoulder.
Although you didn't know this man, you felt safe and comforted in his arms.
