Anastacia's POV
It'd been two months since he died, and my heart was still painful from the loss. I was glad that Wanda and I were able to use one another as a shoulder to cry on. It wasn't the same though, I needed him here with me, and I needed to see him once more.
She would never know why it pained me so much, she only knew me as their childhood best friend, and never knew how close I was to her brother.
I never thought I could feel any more pain after he and Wanda disappeared after their parents died, but his death even more. There was no chance I could ever see him again, and at the rate of my tears falling there was a possibility seeing anything may be implausible.
Today was an average day since the man I loved died, Wanda still mourned for her brother but her work with re-building SHIELD and working with her powers distracted her, I didn't have that, I just sat on the sofa and cried.
Nothing else really occurred, I only left the sofa to use the bathroom, as this had become my bed also. Wanda and Steve brought me food and water as they knew I was too lost in the painful memories to find sustenance.
The only peace I found was from the silence in the room, it was only broken when someone brought me food, of made feeble attempts to get me to socialise and go back to my normal life.
Rustling occurred behind me, but from the time it wouldn't be Wanda or Steve they were busy. The sounds stopped behind me, leaving me unbeknownst to who was there.
I stayed still as a warm breath hit my cheek.
"Why are you sad?" The familiar voice whispered.
Quickly I turned my head to see him.
"Pietro?" I whispered, the words barely escaping my lips.
"Anastacia, why are you crying my love?" he asked softly letting his hand caress my cheek.
"You're dead. You-you can't be here," I stated moving from my seat so I was standing on my wobbly legs.
"I was dead. Dr Cho helped me, she healed me and now I am back," he explained, "I have missed you Anastacia."
I chocked on a sob, as I stumbled around the chair. My legs gave out but before I could fall I was being held in Pietro's arms. He pulled me to him, running his hand softly across my cheek.
"My sweet Anastacia," he whispered, "I am so sorry I have caused you so much pain."
I smiled weakly, as he leaned closer pressing his lips lightly to mine.
"I love you Pietro," I whispered.
"I love you too Anastacia."
