Chapter 38: Friendly

"So how much money do you think you're gonna spend on your new project?" Sebastian asked Trinity as they were coming back from checking out the penthouse

"I'm not exactly sure, probably five hundred."

"What all are you doing?"

"Everything. I'm definitely taking the old carpet out of the bedroom and living room, and most definitely changing the paint."

"And all of that will come out as five hundred thousand."

"It could be less, you never know." She shrugged

"I hope less, but I told you this was your thing so you do what you want."

"And I promise it'll be great, so where are we headed?"

"To the Cheesecake Factory, I hope you're in the mood for a midday lunch."

"Oh goodie, I haven't been there in awhile, what's the occasion?"

"I wanted to thank the person who helped me get the building, he happens to be a friend of Simon's."

"Am I hearing you correctly? You're actually thanking someone?" She said as he shrugged

"You said I needed to be friendly so I'm gonna try it out and see how it goes, but no promises."

"Even if it doesn't work out, I'm still very proud of you for making an effort." She said as she leaned over and kissed him.
"Well now I feel underdressed." She said looking down at her light pink matching outfit

"Why?"

"I still haven't lost all of my baby weight yet, and I look a little fat."

"Babe you look nice, you fill the outfit out perfectly and you're absolutely stunning no matter what you wear."

"Thank you, I feel better about myself now."

"Good." He said pulling in the parking lot, cutting the car off and getting out.

"I have to go to the bathroom right quick." She said as they walked inside

"Alright, we'll wait for you."

Sebastian went on to find Simon in the semi-crowded lobby as he was sitting on the bench. "You're on time for once." Simon said looking at his watch

"That's because I was a block over, other than that not a chance."

"Dorian, this is my half-crazed boss, Sebastian." Simon introduced as Sebastian shook Dorian's hand

"Nice to meet you, and whatever you do don't listen to him, he's more crazier than I am."

Simon chuckled, "You sure about that?"

"Very, and thank you again Dorian for your help."

"No problem, I hated that bastard with a passion."

"Can we go eat now? I haven't ate anything today." Simon said putting a hand on his stomach

"That's probably a good thing." Dorian said as Sebastian snickered

"I'm starting to like him even more now."

"Don't get him started,"

"We'll eat in just a minute, Trin had to go to the bathroom."

"That's his ole lady, she's the one that tells him what to do." Simon whispered to Dorian

"I can hear you, ya know and you've got it all wrong, I tell her what to do."

"Sure, we'll go with that."

"Ok here she comes now." Sebastian said then looked down at his phone as Dorian looks up to see Trinity coming their way but he didn't expect her to be Sebastian's wife

"Damn, look at the ass on girl in the pink." Dorian said as Simon held a hand over his mouth to keep from laughing

"I think you should pick another girl."

"Nah, matter fact I'm gonna go talk to her, maybe I can get her number." He said jumping up and making his way over to Trinity
"Excuse me ma'am."

"Yes?"

"I couldn't help but notice how incredibly beautiful you look." He said as she smiled

"Aw thank you."

"You have such a beautiful smile and I like the cute little dimple you have."

"You're too kind."

"I was wondering if maybe I could get your number and we can go out sometime."

"That sounds nice, but I'm married."

"Aw that's too bad, I would tell your husband he's a lucky man."

"He's right over there you can tell him yourself."

"Please lead the way beautiful." He said as she laughed

"You're quite the charmer aren't you?"

"I do alright, I wish I was able to charm you though." He said as they walked up to Sebastian and Simon while Sebastian was confused and Simon was holding in laughter

"Well here he is." She said motioning towards Sebastian

"Oh shit, I didn't know that she was your wife, I thought you were talking about someone else, I'm sorry."

"Did you tell him to do that?" Sebastian asked Simon as he tried to hold in his laughter

"I told him to pick another girl." He answered as he burst out laughing and Sebastian smacked his arm
"I didn't think he'd actually get up and flirt with her."

"Sometimes you are just so useless." Sebastian said as Simon kept laughing as he stood up

"It's alright Dorian, honest mistake. Trin, this is Dorian, the friend of this goofball here."

"Nice to meet you, Dorian."

"You too and again I'm sorry about that."

"No worries, at least you were nice about flirting with me."

"So, where did y'all two meet? Or is that a little too personal?" Dorian asked as they finally got their order and are sitting at the table eating

"We met in Jersey at a nightclub." Sebastian answered

"I thought Italians and Blacks hated each other?"

Sebastian smiled, "No, sure you'll get the occasional assholes but we like to enjoy the good looking women."

"Well you couldn't have found a better one, most of these women around here look like disfigured Barbie dolls, maybe I need to take me a trip to Jersey."
