"Evan this is wonderful! A junior in high school and already you've been accepted at John Hopkins, Yale, and just now Stanford." Trinity beamed as she read over Evan's acceptance letter

"And it's fully paid for, son you're saving me a lot of money and I for one am truly happy for you." Sebastian smiled

"Thanks, although I feel those aren't the schools for me."

"What do you mean? These are the top schools in the country and they all want you to go there, this is a great opportunity for you to become a great doctor." Trinity said as Evan nodded

"I get that but I don't want to go to any of them."

"What do you mean you don't want to go to any of them? Don't you wanna be a doctor?"

"I do, but I want a better experience." He said as Trinity scoffed

"Evan you're getting the best experience there is, any hospital in the country will immediately hire you because you've been exposed to a plethora of other great doctors with vast amounts of information."

"What are you getting at son?" Sebastian asked as Evan sighed

"I don't want to go to college here."

"That's fine you don't have to go to college here in Florida, Trin and I won't mind the travel to come visit."

"I mean here in America, I wanna go overseas."

"Overseas? For what?!" Trinity exclaimed

"I'm tired of the same old thing, and I want something new."

"Are you kidding me right now? You're telling me that you're throwing away the chance of a lifetime to go roam around overseas because you want something new?!"

"Come on Trin take it easy."

"No I will not! Do you know how hard it is for anyone in this country to go to these schools?! Let alone a minority, and yet you wanna throw it away because you wanna go explore. Damnit Evan, I've never forced you to do anything but this will be one time where you will be forced. You will go to college and you will become a doctor."

"Mom, I never said I didn't want to go to school or be a doctor, that's still my dream but I just won't go to school here in America."

"Well where do you plan on going then?"

"Africa."

"Africa? Why pick a place you've never been before?"

He shrugged, "Why not, plus I'll learn the same things over there that I would here in the States, and it won't take me long before I become a doctor. And not only will I have a good job I'll get more experience than I would've here."
