I smiled as I saw him.

Dancing with the beautiful girl held securely in his strong arms.

Their foreheads touched, their lips met, my heart broke.

It was prom night, I wasn't asked by anyone. Although I hoped for it to be him.

I wasn't going to come. But my friend, Lea, forced me to.

And now she's somewhere dancing with her boyfriend.

While I sat on the bleachers watching him stare at the girl in front of him.

They did make a cute couple.

But something inside me screamed.

Regret.

I had the chance of confessing my feelings to him six days before, but being the shy girl I am, I chose to avoid him.

The hurt in his eyes was clear.

I couldn't face him.

Nervousness,fear of rejection and hatred clouded my mind.
