Ashton: "I wish you could see your face right now, cause you're grinning like a fool. And we're sitting on your kitchen floor, on a Tuesday afternoon"

You giggled, hopping on your best friend's back as he entered your kitchen, laughing his butt off over something he did a few minutes ago. He fell off your bed while laughing over some video that Michael linked him and continued laughing even if his arse was aching from his fall. His hand was on the back of your thighs, holding you up and your arms were wrapped firmly around his shoulders. "Hey, hey, let me down. I'm gonna get some juice," You told him, patting his shoulder so he would pay attention to you. He releases his hold on you, and you landed with your feet, mentally congratulating yourself for not slipping due to your clumsiness. You marched over to your fridge, opening it and scanning the contents, searching for the pitcher of orange juice you saw this morning. You stuck out your bottom lip when you couldn't find it anymore, and shut the fridge closed. You spun around to look at Ashton, who has his hand inside your cookie jar, chewing thoughtfully on a cookie, probably. "Hey, those are mine!" You slapped his hand away, stealing your cookie jar away from him. He protested, reaching out to get the cookie jar back but you turned around, your back now pressed against him and held the jar out of his reach. You grabbed one cookie from the jar and shoved it in your mouth, smiling as the delicious chocolate tickles your tasebuds. "Come on, give me some of those," Ashton pouted, his breath tickling your ear. Shaking your head at him, you broke into a run, with your arms wrapped tightly around the jar. "Protect the cookies at all cost!" You yelled, as Ashton tried to chase you around the kitchen to get the cookie jar away from you. Giggles and laughter filled the kitchen during your childish chase, and he finally caught you after a while, his muscular arms wrapping around you as his face dug into your shoulder. He released you, grabbing the cookie jar from you and reaching into the jar, "Thank you," he grins, before shoving the cookie into his mouth. You rolled your eyes at him and watched as he sat down on the kitchen floor, the cookie jar still in his hand and he shoved cookie after cookie inside of his mouth. "Slow down, or you're gonna choke on all that," You plopped down onto the floor as well, and you were now face to face with him. "You're such an idiot," You comment, smiling a bit as he flashed you a huge grin, revealing all the chocolate stuck in between his teeth. You erupted into laughter, placing your arms behind you as they supported all of your weight, leaning on them. Ashton had a goofy grin on his face, and you didn't know if he was aware of the chocolate stuck between his teeth or if he knew, but didn't care about that. "I wish you could see your face," You managed to say, in between giggles and breaths. He shook his head at you, the grin not fading from his face, "I wish you could see yours, you look ridiculous." You stopped laughing, shooting him a serious look but you fought really hard to stop the smile that was forming on your face. You could never stay serious with Ashton, no matter what because you were both little children stuck in teenagers' bodies. Time seemed to slow down when you stopped to stare at him laughing like a child, your heart fluttering at the sight in front of you. A sad smile replaces the grin on your face, because you knew you could never tell him that you were in love with him. It would only complicate things, and you knew he could never love you as you loved him - he was happy with his girlfriend of two years, and you weren't going to destroy what they built up. You weren't that selfish, so instead, you chose to hide how you truly felt about him, and you have been for the past four and a half years.

Michael: "It doesn't matter when we get back to doing what we do. Cause right now could last forever, just as long as I'm with you"
