Chapter 41: Spencer's POV
Toby and I stood there awkwardly in front of Jenna. I saw the evil inside her, yet I also felt sorry for her. Everything I had done to her. Everything Alison did to her and I never stopped her...I felt ashamed at myself, disgusted...
Toby let go of me as I was deep in thought. "I have to go, Spence," he told me. "I'll call you later." I nodded as he and Jenna got in his car and drove off.
As I started walking home, my phone beeped. Oh gosh, another text from A. "Oh, Spencer, you're so gullible. You think Jenna is the enemy? Think again, bitch." I shut my phone off, wondering what that meant. Just then, I got another text. Oh, no, not another one so soon! It was Toby though. "Hey, Spencer, I don't think this is going to work. Can't explain. Just don't talk to me or text me again. Sorry."
My jaw dropped and the tears poured out.
