Chapter 17: Spencer’s POV
Toby stares at me for a while. I’m a beast at “Words With Friends.” I mean, I know every single word in the dictionary, so I could kick Toby’s ass.
“Um, okay," he replies.
He doesn’t have his phone, so I start a two player game on mine. I put a word to start out, rent. I give him the phone. After thinking for some time, he adds diffe to it to spell different. He got lucky, so he had a few more points than me. It’s okay, Spencer. It was just the first move.
“Get it?” he asks. “Because I’m different.”
“Yeah, you are. You’re different than I thought you would be,” I reply with a small smile.
