I'm walking around looking over paperwork, and I see Jackson walking in.

Savannah: hey, you.

Jackson: hey.

Savannah: you okay? You've been acting a bit weird lately.

Jackson: I don't know. I've... had a lot on my mind lately.

Savannah: wanna talk about it?

I place my hand on Jackson's arm.

Jackson: I'll be fine. I have to deal with it on my own.

Jackson wraps his arm around my shoulders and hands me a cup of coffee.

Savannah: thanks.

Jackson: how long have you been here?

Savannah: got here pretty early so I could start my work. Speaking of, I have a cascading stack of paperwork on my desk, so I will see you later. Thanks for coffee, bubby. Love you.

I kiss Jackson on the cheek then run off.

Jackson's POV:

I smile as Savannah runs off to her office. I make my way to the elevator, and I run into Lexie.

Lexie: hey. I missed you this morning. Is everything okay?

Jackson: yeah. I just wanted to get a run in before work. And I needed to see Savannah.

Lexie: what for?

Jackson: nothing specific. Just wanted to see my best friend.

Lexie: oh.

Jackson: is that a problem?

Lexie: no. I get it. I mean, she's your best friend.

Jackson: yeah.

Lexie: yeah.

There was a pause.

Lexie: okay. Well, uh, I gotta get upstairs if I'm gonna beat Shepherd to rounds, so I'll see you later?

I sigh then I give Lexie a smile.

Jackson: yeah. Alright. I'll see you later.

I look into the elevator, and I see Sloan come out.

Mark: going up?

Lexie: nope.

Jackson: yeah, you are.

Mark: Avery, today's the day. You, me, cross-facial nerve graft. You pumped? I'm pumped. Get pumped.

Jackson: getting pumped.

I sigh as Mark and Lexie go up.

Jackson: I seriously need to figure this out.

My POV:

Mark: Sav!

Savannah: I love you, Mark, but I'm very busy.

Mark: I just thought I'd tell you about my cross-facial nerve graft.

Savannah: I know. I read the case file. Exciting.

Mark: you should join Avery and I. It'll be fun for you.

Savannah: like I said, Mark, I'm very busy, so please go away. I say that with love.

Mark chuckles at me as he walks off.

I'm currently making the schedule for skills labs, and I see Jackson and April walk in.
