I'm walking around my apartment getting ready to go to work. As I'm grabbing my bags, I see Jackson walk into the apartment.

Jackson: morning.

Savannah: hey, bub.

Jackson: ready to go?

Savannah: yep.

I smile at Jackson as he placed a cup of coffee in my hand.

Savannah: I love that you love me.

I drink my coffee as we drive to work.

Jackson: who are you with today?

Savannah: Webber. I need to get to rounds right away.

I change into my scrubs and lab coat, and I make my way to meet with Webber, April and Lexie.

Savannah: hi, sorry I'm a bit late.

Webber: you're good, Collins.

We walk into the room of our first patient, Allison Clark.

Allison: so then a couple days ago, we're at the grocery store, Gary and I, and the next thing I know, I'm flat on my back in the frozen foods section.

Gary: she fainted.

Allison: and I've never fainted. I never seen anybody faint. I don't believe in fainting.

Webber: did you hit your head?

Allison: I would've if this one hadn't caught me.

Savannah: you've got yourself a good one, Mrs. Clarke.

Lexie: Mrs. Clarke is anemic and guaiac positive, so there's definitely some internal bleeding, which looks like it's coming from—

April: friable tumor near the ampulla of vater.

Lexie: yes, thank you for that, Dr. Kepner.

Gary: Dr. Swender told us the biopsy showed the cancer was back. But she said you might be able to take it out.

Webber: there's a chance I won't be able to go in as deeply as I'll need to, but I promise to do everything I can.

Gary: anything you could do.

Allison: we appreciate it, Dr. Webber. Thank you.

I'm standing next to Webber in Allison Clark's surgery.

Lexie: Dr. Webber, did you consider doing a Whipple on Mrs. Clark?

Webber: I did, but since the cancer came back, I think I can do a local resection and get the entire visible tumor.

I notice Derek up in the gallery on the phone. I look over at April, and I notice her staring at Derek.

Webber: Dr. Kepner, are we boring you?

April: no, sir. I just– I wasn't expecting Chief Shepherd to be up in the gallery during a general surgery. But I guess that's the Chief's job, right– evaluating, observing?

Webber: Dr. Kepner, you're in my OR, and the only one observing and evaluating you right now is me.

April: yes, sir. I'm sorry, sir.

We continue with the surgery. After the surgery was finished successfully, Lexie went to talk to Mr. Clark.

I went to check on Allison, but she wasn't waking up. I page Dr. Webber into the room to double check.

Webber: tell me everything you did.
