Cleaning

I sighed, looking at the messy room. I shuffled my playlist and one of my favorite songs came on. I put my curly hair in a high ponytail and started picking up the mess.

After a while, I had finished two rooms and a few loads of laundry. The song changed again and Miley blared through the speakers. I swayed my hips and picked up some laundry, dramatically throwing it in a basket. I sang and continued cleaning.

"Feel like jumping on a flight.
Back to my hometown tonight.
Something stops me everytime.
The dj plays my song and I'll be alright!"

I yelled into my duster microphone and I heard clapping behind me.
"C/N! What are you doing here?"
"Can I not see my beautiful girlfriend?" I blushed and hugged him.
"I wasn't expecting any visitors."
"Obviously," he held me at arms length and studied me. "You look amazing even after cleaning most of your apartment in 5 hours,"I blushed and looked down.
"I'm still in my pajamas," I groaned and he laughed.
"I didn't realize how much you were into penguins," he noted the tank top and matching shorts.
"I don't understand how you aren't embarrassed by me yet," he kissed my nose and grinned.
"You're not embarrassing," I rolled my eyes and went into the kitchen. I poured two cups of coffee and pulled a jar from the fridge. I put some granola and fresh berries over the oatmeal.
"You haven't eaten yet?" He asked.
"No, I've been cleaning for 5 hours. Besides I wasn't hungry," I downed the cup and poured more coffee. "Don't know how I'm still awake though," he rolled his eyes. "It's called brunch now. At least I'm eating," I sat on the now clean kitchen floor and finished my oatmeal.
"Are you kidding me?" I groaned as the last strawberry slid off my spoon and onto the floor. "I just cleaned," I cleaned the spot again and stood.
"Curse for cleaning. If you don't spill something on it at most a day after, is it really clean?" I rolled my eyes and he tucked a stray lock behind my ear. "How about we relax for the rest of the day and watch some movies?" I nodded and he pulled me onto the couch.
"Why did you come over?"
"Your mom was panicking because you wouldn't answer anyone and wouldn't let me say no for an answer," I shook my head and closed my eyes.
"That sounds like her. I'm tired now," I felt his lips on my temple and I went to sleep before the movie's trailers finished.

This was cute and halfway relatable. I've been cleaning a lot here lately and thought of this. Hope you guys enjoyed it!
