2 Corinthians 4:8-10

ESV: We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

NCV: We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We do not know what to do, but we do not give up the hope of living. We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed. We carry the death of Jesus in our own bodies so that the life of Jesus can also be seen in our bodies.

Meaning: Throughout our lives we all go through struggles. Some greater than others and some don't even realize their struggles, but struggles are inevitable. Like said in a previous post, God won't put us in situations we can't take, we are afflicted in every way but we aren't crushed! Through our Christian journey many of us face confusion. Confusion about what the Lords trying to tell us, doubts that he exists, confusion of where to turn next. It's okay to have these thoughts, but we don't give up hope, perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are shown hostility and judgement because of our religion. We are told we aren't good enough and in some places even killed for being Christian but Christ won't leave our side, persecuted, but not forsaken. People fill our heads with other thoughts and try to end our religion, but the Christian nation cannot be destroyed. We face all of this out on our crazy Christian journey, it may be tough but our God is tougher! We have the Christian spirit and Jesus within us, not to show we are better than anyone else, but to show that Jesus is alive and living, living within us!

Happy friday guys! Megan and I had a snowday today, it was great! How was your Friday?
