Genesis 8:1

NIV: But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.

NCV: But God remembered Noah and all the wild and tame animals with him in the boat. He made a wind blow over the earth, and the water went down.

Meaning: The story of Noah is probably one of the most well- known bible stories of all time and you might be wondering how I interpret this verse. I think Noah is an incredible example of having our hope in God. Even when it's hard, we anchor our hope in him. Even if what he's doing doesn't make sense, we trust him completely. God told Noah to build and ark for goodness sake and he did it just like that! He totally trusted and put his hope in God that God knew what he was doing which is amazing and something we as Christians should strive to do! So this verse I think also shows Gods deep care for us: "But God remembered Noah." The creator of the universe remember this one man and his family because Noah had anchored his hope, firm in secure, in The Lord :)

I want to challenge you guys to really examine where/who you put your hope and trust into. Putting it in anything other than God is, in the end is going to be taking away from you and won't last. People and things in life are going to fail you, but God is here forever and ever! He's waiting with open arms for you to come to him, to say "Yes Lord, I put all my hope in you" cause he knows what he's doing! Trust Him... He will never fail you. Ever.

•••Hebrews 6:19 is also a great verse about putting our hope in The Lord and one of my personal favourites! Go check it out in one of our previous posts:)
