You were on your way home from work, and you just couldn’t wait to relax with your boyfriend Ross! You had such a bad day today, and you just wanted it to be over already. You were at the door, trying to find your keys. You looked everywhere in your purse, and you still couldn’t find them. Sigh. You walked back to your car, trying to peek in the window. There they were. Locked in the car. That’s just the perfect way to end your day! “Shit!” you yelled frustrated. You slowly walked back the the house, banging on the door. It had already been five minutes, and he wouldn’t answer. Thank god you had your phone! You picked it up, dialing his number. “Hello?” he answered. “Ross, I’m locked out,” you whined “can you please come unlock the door for me?” “Um, yeah sure. Give me a sec,” he said rushing. You heard noise in the background, some rustling around, and then you heard him unlocking the door.

Everything was pitch black, and Ross was no where to be seen. “Hey, I’m in the back yard!” he yelled. You wondered how he even got back there that fast but, you walked there anyway. “Ross, I’m so tired I think I’m just going to grab a snack and go to bed okay?” you said. You turned the corner walking outside only to see the prettiest layout of lights and decorations. There was a table set out, with pretty chairs and candles. He came up to you, grabbing your face, and kissing you. He pulled back, and took a piece of your hair brushing it behind your ear. “I know you had a bad day, but I’m going to make it better!” he promised. “You did all this to make me feel better?” you asked. “Of course!” he smiled.

He lead you toward the table and pulled out your chair for you. You sat, and thanked him for the amazing dinner he had set out. You had never felt more hungry, and this all looked so good! You two dug in, enjoying every minute of it! “Did you like it?” he asked. You finished swallowing your food, and replied, “Yes Ross! It’s so amazing! Thank you. Seriously. I had the worst day, and you always make me feel better!” you said smiling at him. “Glad you liked it,” he replied with a smirk. You both finished your food, and Ross raced to your side of the table, pulling out your seat. He grabbed your hand again, and then the sound of music filled your ears. ‘Bad Day by Daniel Powter’ started playing, and Ross grabbed your waist, slow dancing to the song. You leaned your head on his chest, and just let every bad thought about the day, fade away. You were actually happy, even after all that happened!

After the song was already over, he carried you bridal style upstairs and laid you down in bed. He knew how tired you were from the dark circles under your eyes. “Thank you for tonight,” you said to him again. He got in bad next to you, holding you close. “Anytime Cadi. Goodnight, I love you,” he whispered, while you slipped into a deep sleep.
