This originally was supposed to be a Steve fic, so if it says you were like making out with Steve or something, imagine it says Bucky lmao

You were laying on the couch in the living room of the incredible new Avengers compound

It was a day off for you, as no missions were being given to anyone - SHIELD was dealing with whatever missions you would normally get sent off to do, yet Natasha and Clint decided to go with them just in case anything got out of hand

You, however decided to enjoy the day by being lazy and making yourself laugh, so you switched on your phone and opened a social media app, a smile instantly appearing on your face

You held it above your face as you liked and scrolled through different pictures and videos of people pretending to be you and your superhero friends, but pictures of couples dressed as you and Bucky in particular made you really happy

You then realised that Steve was asleep on a chair next to you, so you switched off your phone again and decided to draw on his face, as you found a pen on the table in front of you

A laugh escaped you and it got the attention of Tony, who was in the kitchen probably making some sort of drink, and Bucky, who was watching you fondly

You called him over and he joined in, drawing a pair of oversized glasses on him and writing "Stupid" on his forehead

You noticed the billionaire glance at the two of you and smile- he was used to you two laughing at random shit, but he wasn't used to you two having fun together (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) he wanted the two of you to get together so much that he almost forgot how to breathe at the sight of you both

Once he pulled himself together, he asked you "Where's Legolas and Natasha? Thought we had a day off?"

As if on que, the door opened and in walked Clint, but you were having too much fun with Bucky to notice

Get your mind out of the gutter, I'm watching you

"Hey, Y/N, Nat's just brushing herself down- doesn't want to get dirt in here, but she does wanna speak to you" he said to you with a smile, which you returned and thanked him

You finally left Bucky to doodle on Steve in peace so that you could go and see your best friend

He stepped out of the way of the door for you to pass through and see Natasha patting herself with her hands and ruffling her hair to get herself relatively clean in the middle of the corridor

"Hey, what happened? Why are you so... Dusty?" You struggled for a word as she looked up at you

I mean, most of the Avengers are, so...

"Hey, Y/N, nothing really happened, just a few explosions near us- nothing exciting" she responded with a smile

"That explains the dirt, then" You walked over to her and helped her by ruffling her red hair like she was before

"How did you know we were here already?" she asked, not aware of Clint now in another room

"Well, I was drawing on Steve's face with Buck when Clint came in and said you wanted to speak to me, so here I am" you smiled at your own mention of Bucky's name
