"What if I call you Anna, just until you remember?" he offered, his voice gentle, carrying an odd undercurrent of hope that I couldn't quite explain. There was something in the way he looked at me when he said it that made it difficult to refuse. I let the name settle, turning it over quietly. Anna. It felt familiar, in a way I couldn't articulate, like something that had always belonged to me and was simply being returned. I offered a small, tentative smile and nodded. I could live with that. The smile he gave in return was blinding, and something inside me stirred in response, quiet and unnamed. Everything in Clara's life always seemed to work out for her: the science fair in 1936 that landed her admission to NYU, meeting Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers in 1939, and gaining employment under the leading technological innovator of her time, Howard Stark in 1940. As the war in Europe drags on, Clara finds herself in the midst of it all as part of the Strategic Scientific Reserve. With Hydra on the rise, the Reserve pivots from the success of Project Rebirth to focus its efforts on taking them down. On February 15th, 1945, Steve, Bucky, and the rest of the 107th find themselves in the Russian Alps, nearly finished with their mission of destroying Hydra bases across Europe. On February 20th, Clara Brown realized that she had simply always been in the right place at the right time for her whole life. This story has no names yet. It's based off the marvel universe. Following the young Adelaide King and her loving twin brother, Silas, in their journey. It starts in Captain America, The First Avenger. It will be ending after the second movie I choose to have Adelaide make her appearance in. I have yet to get that far. I hope you enjoy :) This book will have some pretty sensitive subjects in including sexual harassment and borderline assault (depending on how you see it) I will not be putting tw before it happens in that chapter. I will however warn you the chapter before. So, please pay attention to my little talks at the end of each chapter. It could help you.

Steve had thought joining the Army would be the dream he'd always wanted to achieve. He thought he'd receive the glory, and save lives. He didn't think he'd end up with a girl who needed extra care. Antonia was only fifteen. Her family was dead, and she had powers beyond comprehension and beyond her control. She needed help. She needed care. She needed someone to be her father.

Clara Lewis: S.H.I.E.L.D agent, New Yorker, accidental time traveller- wait what?! Clara thought being a S.H.I.E.L.D agent made her life as crazy as it would get. Ever since her accident in the field, she'd become a desk agent but working as Phil Coulson's 'personal assistant' meant life was never dull. Especially when none other than Captain America resurfaces and Clara has to deal with Phil's incessant fangirling. But something's up. Why does Captain America know her name when they've never met before? Clara knew Steve's arrival would change everything but things start to change for the worst. Her boss is shot by a rogue asgardian prince and Clara is suddenly dragged back into the field again. So Clara did what she had been trained to do: go and hide in a S.H.I.E.L.D safehouse until the threat was gone. It just so happens that the nearest safehouse contains more secrets than Clara was willing to uncover. To get to the bottom of all the Captain America nonsense and whoever this metal armed assassin is, she'd have to go back in time. And we all know that's not possible. Right?

*This story takes place prior to and during the events of Captain America: The First Avenger* When Bucky gets enlisted into the military without Steve, he meets a young nurse who always seems disheveled and anxious. Despite this, she always tries to treat every patient with a smile and she does her best to be the brave person everyone expects her to be. Something about her is alluring to Bucky, though he can't put his finger on it. Could this be more to him than just a potential one night stand?

"I want to see Steve! Where is he?!" The Mercenary screamed and the soldiers all ducked for cover as a burst of dark energy burst out from her hands destroying the glass windows and knocking the men to the floor. The men cowered away from her as she frantically called for her friend, the soldier who taught her the meaning of loyalty. The one who crept into her stone heart and has destroyed it in one fatal swoop. "Where is he?" Her voice cracked and her eyes blurred, this was not supposed to be her life, she was supposed to be a ghost, a whisper in a man's nightmares. She thought of the day they met and wondered if she would have just- well, this could be better explained in her story. The story of the assassin who met the First Avenger and lost him in the same year.
