It was Valentine's Day tomorrow, and it would be the first one you would spent with Bucky

You had been dating since the start of March last year, and it was going well

However, some people thought differently

They kept mentioning the fact that Bucky had commitment issues, and he had never really been in a relationship before

This worried you, and ever since you heard this, you had noticed that Bucky had been acting kinda strange around you

You tried to spend as much time with Bucky as you could, and vice versa, but you couldn't help but feel like he didn't want you anymore

You weren't going to question him, you were just going to see if anything would happen tomorrow

As soon as you woke up in the morning, you groaned, remembering what day it was

You were dreading it, especially as your boyfriend wasn't in the bed next to you

Now, he normally got up before you anyways, but a part of you hoped he would stay with you today

Just as you were lost in thought about Bucky, the man himself walked through the door, and his smile brought you back to reality

"Morning, Doll" he said, quite happily- a contrast to his recent behavior, making you furrow your eyebrows slightly

You smiled back at him, glad to receive one again

"Hey" you replied, quite groggily, making him laugh a little "You're in a good mood this morning"

He simply nodded and came to sit on his side of the bed next to you, before leaning down to kiss you, something he hasn't done in a while

Yes, he would kiss you on your forehead or cheek or hand, but not your lips, it felt like be hadn't done it in ages, so when he did it, the two of you savored it and never wanted it to end

When it unfortunately did though, he sighed and looked over your facial features for a minute, before giving a warm smile again "I love you so much, Y/N"

At this point, you were starting to get suspicious of him - why the sudden change in character?

"I think the Valentine's Day vibes have gotten to you, Bucky" you laughed out, pushing yourself up into a sitting position

"Or maybe I just love my girlfriend, and I don't say it enough so I am now" he said much quieter, as he kept his smile and held your hand

This made you freeze completely, as you stared at him in shock

At this, he raised an eyebrow and his head ever so slightly

"Really?" You asked, hoping you didn't just imagine what he said

He just nodded, as he reached up to tuck some of your messy bed hair behind your ear, so he could see more of your face
