I had carried my bag through the airport for what felt like ever. The longer I carried it the heavier it felt. I knew it couldn't have been that heavy or they wouldn't have let me carry it on but the weight was more than I was used to carrying and my arms were tired.

I put my bag down and sat at the small coffee kiosk that was near where I was supposed to board. I grabbed some coffee and prepared mentally to relax before boarding my flight. As I sat back down to settle myself I knocked my bag over.

I huffed, already hating that stupid carry on bag. I closed my eyes to compose myself before I lost my cool and made a move to lean over and grab my bag. Before I could fully lean over I noticed someone picking it up and tipping it back upright.

"Thank you so much" I looked down at the person who was fixing my bag.

"Not a problem" the male smiled up at me.

His smile was magnetic I couldn't help but be drawn to it. And that wasn't even the best part about his smile, it was super contagious. It made me want to smile just from seeing him smile.

"You're my hero...I hate that bag" I laughed lightly.

"Glad I could help" he grinned standing back up straight and walking away.

I kicked myself for not saying more, for inviting him to sit and talk and mostly for having an attraction to someone I met for only ten seconds. I couldn't help it, I was drawn to him. I hated myself for it, almost as much as I hated that stupid bag.

When they called for boarding I slumped a little but I figured the quicker I got settled on the plane the sooner I could rest on the plane. I grabbed my bag and what was left of my coffee before heading to the gate. I dragged my bag onto the plane and to my seat.

I knew I had to bite the bullet and do my best to try to get my carry on bag into the overhead compartment. I took a deep breath and readied myself.

"Need a hand with that?" I heard a voice ask.

I silently praised whoever was about to help me with my bag as I looked up to the same male that had helped me before.

"I hate to ask but...yes I do, I really do" I laughed in a pleading manner.

"Don't worry, I got it" he smiled reaching for my bag and easily tossing it in the overhead compartment above us.

"Seriously, my hero" I smiled at him. "Thank you so much"

"Anytime, if you need to get your bag down you can always come and find me" he smiled.

That damn smile still got me.

"Noted, thank you" I smiled.

He turned and stepped into a row of seats as I searched for my seat. My palms got sweaty as I saw that the male was sitting in the other seat by the window.

"Is this your seat?" I asked lightly.

"Sure is" he looked up to me with a smile. "Wait, is this your seat?" He motioned to the seat next to him.

"Sure is" I grinned trying to hide my nerves.

"I'm Quinn" he held out his hand while I got settled in my seat.

"Nice to meet you Quinn, I'm Y/N" I shook his hand.

We settled in our seats and talked until they announced we were ready to initiate takeoff and we had to buckle our seatbelts. I got settled and took a deep breath.

"You ok?" Quinn looked at me concerned.

"Yeah, I just always feel a little anxious when I'm on a plane taking off" I looked at him with a laugh.

He smiled and held out his hand in a gesture saying I could hold his hand if I wanted to. Of course I wanted to. I reached out and laced my fingers with his. He squeezed my hand gently and comfortingly. I noticed his hand was a little clammy and I wondered if he was anxious as well.

"Are you nervous too?" I asked looking at him.

"No, why do you ask?" He turned his head towards me from where it rested back against the seat.

"Nothing, just your hand is a little clammy" I lightly giggled.

"Well yeah, a beautiful girl is holding it. That would make anyone's hands sweaty" he smiled.

I knew a blush was quickly filling my face and I couldn't help but smile at him.

Take off went smoothly and oddly enough having Quinn next to me holding my hand made all the nerves and anxiety about take off nonexistent.

He continued holding my hand even after we leveled out. I had no objection. In fact I thought it was quite nice.

"Do you mind if I pull up the arm rest?" I asked when I noticed he wasn't using it.

"No, go ahead. Might be more comfortable" he explained helping me pull the arm rest up as he let go of my hand.

We talked for a good amount of time and the more I learned about him, the more I was interested in him. I found myself wanting to know more about him and wishing I was still holding his hand.

I shifted slightly closer to him to see what his reaction was and gently leaned over him to look out the window. My heart skipped a beat when I went to pull away from the window and saw him watching me with a smile on his face.

I decided to go for it and lean against him slightly. I didn't know what I thought his reaction was going to be but I didn't expect him to wrap an arm around me and pull me close to him.

"Comfortable?" He smiled rubbing my arm gently.

"Unbelievably" I breathed a laugh.

We sat like that for the rest of the flight and got to know each other more and before I knew it I was being woken up. I didn't even realize I fell asleep.

"Morning beautiful" I opened my eyes to Quinn smiling at me.

"I'm so sorry" I quickly got up. "I didn't even realize I fell asleep"

He just chuckled and shook his head.

"I didn't mind at all, I thought it was adorable" he smiled widely at me. "Let me get your bag"

He got up and took my bag out of the compartment and when I went to take it from his hands he pulled it back.

"I got it, let me" he grinned picking up my bag.

"Thank you, you're amazing" I smiled rubbing his arm slightly.

We exited the plane and made our way to baggage claim. As we sat waiting for our bags he looked at me and handed me his phone now that we could turn them on.

"Can I maybe have your number?"

"Of course you can" I smiled taking his phone and punching in my number before handing him my phone so I could get his.

"Call or text me anytime" he smiled handing my phone back. "And maybe we can go for dinner?"

"I would love that"

He reached over slightly and kissed me gently making me smile against his lips.

"Let's plan on it" he smiled before walking away.

He glanced back to throw me one last smile. That smile still got me.

"Let's plan on it" I said lowly to myself with a smile.
