Things aren't meant to be this hard at this age. I'm still young, I've still got to live my life, but things have been so hard.

"Where you going, dinners almost ready?" Dad asked as I headed upstairs.

"I'm just, uh, going to the bathroom." I replied.

"Ok, well hurry back." Dad said and I nodded.

I tried to hold in the tears, this isn't how I'm meant to be.

I twirled the razor in my hand, sitting on the toilet.

If my dads see me like this, they're going to be so disappointed.

"Shannon, are you almost done!? Dinner's ready." Papa said as he knocked on the door.

"Y-yeah, I'm almost done." I replied.

The blood making its way down my arm.

"Zayn, I think she's crying." Liam said.

"She just said that she's going to the bathroom, what do you mean she's crying?" Zayn asked.

"Like, she stuttered, it's like she's trying to hold her cries in but.." Liam replied.

Zayn then got the spare key and knocked on the door.

"Shannon, sweetie, open the door." He said.

"I-I'm, co-coming out the now, d-dad." Shannon stuttered and that's when Zayn unlocked the door.

"Oh my god, Shannon!" Liam said running in and throwing the razor in the bath.

Zayn just stood at the door frozen.

"Zayn, come and help." Liam said.

Shannon noticed that Zayn wasn't taking his eyes off of her arm.

"Dad?" She asked.

"Why are you doing this?" He asked.

"Things have been too hard, im so-"

"YOU SHOULD'VE TALKED TO US!" Zayn yelled the tears made their way down his face.

"I'm sorry." Shannon whispered. "I just didn't want to worry you."

"We'll help you. We promise, we'll help you." Liam said.

"I'm sorry, dad." Shannon said.

Zayn said nothing, just pulled Shannon into a tight hug. "We'll help you. We'll help you, just talk to next time." He said and kissed her head. "We love you so much, just talk to us, we'll help."
