A/N: This is written in third person, I had this idea and think it would be cool to write it in third person. It's based upon the song 'Scars To Your Beautiful' by Alessia Cara. Please listen to it whilst reading (video above). x

She seemed happy. Her videos were full of laughter and smiles.

Her social media was filled with thousands upon thousands of photos of her smiling.

She has the perfect life.

She has the most gorgeous y/e/c eyes, that all the boys fall for- especially Chance.

They're life is a classic love story.

Bad boy choses geek.

It's like all the classic teen films, it seems like a miracle.

Her life changed- studying to partying, Coca-Cola to Vodka, hoodies to bralettes, Ohio to L.A, no friends to Team 10.

She looks like she adores her job.

Who wouldn't?

Best-friends with Erika Costell,

Dating Chance Sutton,

and living with Team 10.

But, she's depressed.

When the camera turns off, her life is dark. No light.

Depression leads to self harm.

Self harm leads to scars.

She hasn't cut in a year and a half, she's proud.

But, her wrists are itching to cut again, she wants the cold blade to dance across her skin.

But, she's got no reason right?

Chance tells her "your scars are beautiful, they show you came out of a dark time. you're beautiful and i love you."

So, when she craves it, guilt fills her like helium in a balloon.

She tells herself how amazing her life is, how so many have it so much worse than her.

But, that's the thing about depression.

Just, because it's not on the outside, doesn't mean it's not on the inside...
