Chapter 50

selena threw her head back and laughed loudly.

i smiled and nodded, "i know."

next day

i sat down and my mother, terry walked in and sat infront of me with a smile.

"hey." i said.

"hi." she replied.

"selena is pregnant. we're gonna have a kid."

mom smiled, "sam that's amazing! i'm happy for you! and selena."

"thanks mom."

"so does...taylor agree with you coming here?"

i chuckled and looked at my hands, "she doesn't know yet."

her eyes were surprised, "why not?"

"i'm afraid she'll be upset. i don't want her to get angry or mad at me."

she nodded, "i understand that but sam she deserves to know you are visiting your birth mother in jail."

"yeah i know. i just don't know how to tell her...in the right way." i said.

mom nodded, "yeah i get that."

i took her hands and smiled, "i should get going but i will come back okay? promise."

she smiled and nodded, "i know you will."

"bye mom." i said and left.

4 weeks later

sam pov

"are you nervous?" i asked selena as we sat in the waiting room of the hospital.

she chuckled, "sam. relax. it's our first check up and ultrasound. i'm only 4 weeks along. and you're freaking out. relax babe. nothing will happen." she assured me.

i sighed and my hands shook.

"one vanilla frapp for the daughter and one strawberry smoothie for the pregnant mom." mom said and handed us drinks.

"thanks mom." i said and smiled.

"of course."

she sat down, "so how are you feeling?"

"nervous." i said.

she laughed and so did selena, "not you sam. i meant the one who's having the baby. not the one who is the baby."

i rolled my eyes and chuckled.

"i'm fine. morning sicknesses sometimes but so far, so good." she said and smiled.

"selena swift?" Doctor riley said. she's nice. we spoke over the phone. she has brown hair and a soft hazel.

we stood up and i kissed mom, "good luck!" she said and waved.

i smiled and sel and i walked into the room.

selena layed down on the bed.

"alright. so first off. how are you feeling?" she asked selena.

"good. just morning sicknesses."

"okay great. that's normal so that's a good sign. and what about the wife?" she said and turned to me.

"nervous as hell."

her and selena laughed, "don't be. i'm sure everything is fine. now selena i'm going to ask you to lift your shirt up just above your stomach.

selena did as told and doctor riley pulled out a gel.

"this will feel a little cold." she said.

she put her gloves on and rubbed the gel on selena's stomach.

she giggled, "wow that is cold."

i smiled and took her hand.

the doctor put the probe for the machine on selena's stomach and moved it around.

"and here we go." she said.

loud beats filled the room.

i smiled brightly as i fell in love already.

i looked at selena and happy tears filled both our eyes.

i kissed both of her hands and smiled.

"wait-oh wow." Lauren, doctor riley said.

selena and i shot our eyes up, "what? what's wrong?!" i said, getting panicked.

"i'm hearing more than one heartbeat here."

i gulped, "what does that mean?" selena asked nervously.

she looked on the screen closely.

"just what i thought. here. look." she showed us the screen and i only saw grey blobs.

"i don't get it." i said.

she smiled and pointed, "here and here."

i looked and saw two grey orbs.

"what are those?" i asked.

she smiled brightly, "those are your children."

i looked at her in shock.

selena was smiling widely, "so does that mean?"

lauren nodded and smiled, "yes. congratulations. you're having twins."
