Rye's POV

~flashback~

"Robbie!" I laughed, running after my older brother.

"Try and catch me!"

I smiled when I saw how happy he looked, running around the park wearing such a cheerful smile.

This was how life should be. Happy. Carefree.

When I finally caught up with him, I tackled him onto the ground, both of us laughing our heads off.

"I win!"

"No you don't." He smirked, flipping us over and tickling my sides. I laughed like crazy, trying to push him away from me.

"No stop. Please. You win!" I giggled.

He stopped tickling me and led down beside me. Together, we laid in silence and looked up to the sky.

"I wish every day could be like today!" I sighed.

He sat up, wrapping one arm around my shoulder.

"Me too."

~flashback over~

My sobs died down and the room was silent. The arms wrapped around me made me calm, despite me still not knowing who it was.

"You okay now?"

I looked up and realised it was Andy. Why was he comforting me?

I nodded, pulling away from him slightly. Together we sat on the bathroom floor, none of us saying a word. I forgot I was still in school until the bell rang, making me jump.

I glanced at Andy, who was watching me carefully, and stood up.

"Uhm, I better get to class.."

He shook his head, standing up beside me.

"You aren't in the right frame of mind for school right now. Come with me." He held out his hand and I hesitantly took it. He led me out of the toilets and towards the main office. As we walked past his friends who were stood by their lockers, they raised their eyebrows at our joined hands. Andy just shook his head at them and we carried on walking.

He made me wait outside while he went into the head teachers office. He came out a couple minutes later and grabbed my hand again, taking me out the main doors.

"What are we doing?"

"I asked if we could miss the rest of the day. You aren't fit to be in school right now." He explained.

A thousand questions ran through my mind, but I just nodded and let him lead me to his car. We drove in silence and soon arrived at his house.
