Sonny's POV

One thing I've learnt about Jack during my time in the band is that he doesn't like asking for help. No matter if he really needs it, he refuses to ask anyone to help him with anything. As his boyfriend this can get quite annoying, since all I want to do is take care of him.

One time he cut his thumb open while making food. He insisted he was fine, but he ended up needing stitches. He made sure he still did everything alone, even though we all offered to help him.

He tried so hard to be independent, and I have no idea why.

"OW!!"

I heard Jack scream from upstairs. I rushed up and saw him led on the floor, tears falling down his cheeks.

"Baby, oh my god, what happened?"

"I fell. I'm fine, it's okay."

"No, Jack. You're not fine. Here, let me help you up." I extended my hand for him to take, but he shook his head.

"I can do it myself. No prob- OW!" He whimpered as he moved his leg.

"Baby, I'm helping you whether you like it or not. Now, take my hand."

He hesitated before giving in and letting me take him to his room. I sat him down on his bed and began inspecting his leg.

"I just twisted it funny. It's fine!"

"Jack!" I sighed, looking at at my boyfriend who was in obvious pain.

"It's okay not to be okay, Jackie. Why must you pretend everything is okay? All I want to do is help you."

"I don't need help. I'm not a child!" He spat defensively.

"I never called you a child." I said calmly, seeing he was in a weird mood. "Just please tell me why you insist on doing everything alone."

He avoided eye contact, another tear falling down his cheek.

"I can't."

I sighed. Someone obviously hurt him. I wanted to make sure he was alright, but I couldn't force him to open up.

"Hey, why don't I go make us both some tea, then you can tell me all about it?" I asked softly.

He nodded and I smiled, kissing him on the forehead before heading back to the kitchen.

"Hey man, he okay?"

I turned to see Andy walking in.

I nodded. "He will be. He tried to deny he was hurt, like usual."

Andy frowned. "He's... fragile. Don't hurt him."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "I won't. What do you mean 'fragile'?"

He shook his head. "Let him tell you himself. Just, treat him right, please?"

I gave Andy a hug and promised to look after the boy, before grabbing the two mugs and making my way back to Jack. He was trying to stand up, but fell back on the bed in frustration.

"Baby, stop. You're gonna hurt yourself!"

"I'm not a baby!"

I placed down the tea before sitting on his bed, pulling him into my chest.

"I know, darling. Now, explain."

He stayed silent.

"I won't judge you love. I love you so much, you know that right?"

He nodded. "I know. My last boyfriend was annoyed with how needy and clingy I was. He told me I needed to grow up and learn to do things myself. He broke up with me for being too reliant on him, so when you asked me out, I swore to myself I would be more independent so that you wouldn't get sick of me too." He explained, tears falling down his cheeks.

"Baby, no. I would never get sick of you for wanting my help. If anything, it hurts me when you don't ask for my help."

He looked up at me scared. "I don't want to hurt you. I'm so so sorry."

"Darling, you have nothing to be sorry about. Now, let's cuddle. I've missed you."

He curled up into my chest and let out a deep breath.

"I'm sorry for being distant. I love you."

"I love you too baby."

Hey guys. I haven't posted in a few days, oops. I'm sorry. I've been working on my Randy book. I also have no motivation for one shots right now and I don't know why. I'll try and update more.
