Zatanna x Best Friend Reader

Hey, readers!! I felt like I had to do a Zatanna x Best Friend Reader!! Do I have any big Young Justice fans?!!! I am and will always be a fan, so I enjoyed writing this. I'm still upset about it not being on TV anymore, but at least you can always catch it on DVD!! Zatanna is one of my personal favorites in Young Justice ever, so here you go!!    Y/N'S POV

  A couple of minutes ago, I made the decision to visit one of my closest friends, Zatanna. Zatanna was shy (at times), sweet, nice, courageous, and very forgiving.
  She always wanted to help out others, but she sometimes forgot to look out for herself. Lately, she had become too quiet and stayed inside her room.

  Currently, I was sitting down on the couch in the kitchen of Mount Justice. The Justice League had built it here, but they were visited by an unexpected villain, which caused it to become compromised.
  They moved and ended up in the Watchtower up in space. I mean, we were all pretty shaken up about them not telling us, but we eventually got over it.

  I heard footsteps and turned to see Dick Grayson walking towards me. Dick was the original Boy Wonder and took being Robin as both an adventure and a thrill. I could tell Bruce admired that about Dick, which caused him to be more open with Dick about certain things.

  Obviously feeling something, Dick sat down beside me and took my hand.

  I gave him a worried look and said,"Is everything all right? What happened? Are you okay?"

  Dick chuckled and said,"I am fine, Y/N, I am just worried about Z."

  I frowned and looked away.

  Dick pulled me close and stroked my cheek saying,"Y/N, I love you, too. I am just worried about her, okay? I know I used to have something for her, but I only want you. Babe, please look at me."

  I sighed, before I looked at Dick. His bright, blue eyes met my E/C eyes, and he leaned in slowly.

  I blushed and looked down saying,"Grayson, I thought I was supposed to be checking on Zatanna."

  Dick smirked at me stuttering and changing the subject. Dick and I had not had our first kiss yet, so that just saved me from being embarrassed.
  It was just that I was nervous, but I also did not want to bump into his nose or something. We all have had those moments...

  Dick kissed my cheek, before I jogged to Zatanna's room.

  I lightly knocked on her door, and she weakly said,"Go away."

  I knocked again but calmly said,"Z, it is me, Y/N. I just want to help you, hon."

  I heard footsteps, before she opened the door. I smiled and walked inside. Z closed the door and sat down beside me.

  I held her hand and said,"What's wrong, Z?"

  Zatanna sighed and looked down saying,"I know it has been a while, since it happened, but I miss him. I miss my father."

  Tears fell down Zatanna's face, while she said,"If I would not have put on that helmet, then my father would not have had to trade places with me. I should have just figured out a different way."

  I frowned and wiped her tears saying,"If you would not have done something, then we would have never gotten the misplaced adults and children back together again. Because of what you did, we were able to reunite families and friends again. Z, don't cry, because you are still my hero."

  Zatanna smiled weakly and wiped her tears saying,"Thanks, Y/N. I really needed that. So, how are you and Nightwing doing?"

  I blushed madly at hearing his name, which made Z giggle.

  I sighed and said,"Are you not upset with me, though? I know you and him used to be close, so I guess I will back down. I should have asked first. I..."

  Zatanna cut me off by saying,"No, it is all right, Y/N. You two love each other, and I am sure Wing adores you, too. Have you had your first kiss, yet?"

  I pouted and shook my head saying,"No, we were about to, but then I chickened out. I sort of changed the subject and ran away. Z, I am nervous. What do I do?"

  Zatanna smiled,"Y/N, you have got this. I know you are afraid of being hurt but take the chance. Dick would never hurt you, so trust him. C'mon, let's hug this out."

  I chuckled, before I hugged Zatanna.

  She hugged back and kissed my cheek saying,"Thank you, Y/N, for being here as my best friend. I love you, Y/N."

  I smiled and said,"Love you too, Z. I love you, too."

  I grabbed Zatanna's hand, before she ended up leading me to Nightwing.
He was working on something on the computer, before Zatanna cleared her throat.

  Dick stopped what he was doing and said,"Yes, ladies?"

  Zatanna gently pushed me forward, and I ended up falling on Dick. Dick caught me, and Z left us alone.

  He smirked saying,"Are you here to apologize for leaving me hanging?"

  I chuckled and just pulled him close. Dick stared into my eyes, before he leaned in slowly. My heart was racing, while my nerves were all over the place. However, I just let go. Dick's lips met mine, and I immediately kissed back.

  Dick smiled in the kiss but held on for a minute. I smiled, too, before the kiss came to an end.

  He put his forehead on mine saying,"I love you, Y/N."

  I smiled and said,"I love you, too, Grayson."
