Takes place during Batman: Arkham Knight!!!!!

   PEYTON'S POV

  At this very moment, I was going on patrol with Batman, and we were trying to stop the Arkham Knight from destroying all of Gotham.
 
  We were almost there, when I suddenly stopped.

  Bruce noticed and took off his cowl saying,"Peyton, what is it?"

  I sighed and said,"That tone...The anger....Bruce, it sounds like Jason. But that is crazy, right? I mean, Jason died years ago."

  "If it is Jason, then we have to convince him otherwise. Convince him that I tried to do everything in my power to save him and bring him home. Are you willing to help me?"

  I placed my hands over Bruce's hands and replied,"I would do anything to get my best friend back."

  Bruce smiled and put his cowl back on, before we finally made it to Chinatown. We saw Gordon tied to a chair. Bruce signaled for me to take the back. I obeyed and Bruce smashed through the window, which resulted in me following him.
  We took out the armed men, and one was about to hit me, but Bruce told me to duck. I ducked, and Bruce knocked him out. I smiled innocently and Bruce just smiled at me, before he headed to Gordon.

  I watched Bruce's back, and I heard,"Turn around."

  We both turned, and I saw the Arkham Knight, pointing a gun at Bruce.

  I gasped, and Bruce said,"Who are you?"

  The Arkham Knight looked to be in thought and said,"You really have no idea, do you, Bruce?"

  The Arkham Knight pressed a button on his helmet, and it went up to reveal Jason. I looked at him in shock, and he still did not notice I was here. Jason was too focused on killing Bruce.

  Bruce said, still trying to process,"Jason...I thought you were dead."

  Bruce continued on saying,"Joker sent me the film. I saw him kill you."

  Jason began to get angry and said,"Don't you dare lie to me! How long did it take for you to replace me? A month? A week? I trusted you, and you left me to die!"

  Bruce said softly,"That's not true."

  Jason started to say something, but I decided to come out of my hiding spot and approached Jason.

  Jason looked at me confused and said,"P...Peyton, what are you doing here?"

  The shock was still written across my face, and I said to Jason,"How are you still here, after all this time? You never thought about visiting me or checking on me. You're my best friend, Jay, and you didn't care enough to end this and come see me."

  Tears were now present in my eyes, and Jason saw them.

  Jason looked at me with guilt saying,"Baby, that is not true. I love you, and I would have done anything for you. I just...did not think you would want to see me like this. Bruce has to pay for what he did to me."

  I lightly pushed Bruce forward, and Bruce said,"Jason, son, I tried to get to you on time. There was nothing I wanted more than to be able to save you. I want to help you. Oracle, Peyton, and the family want to. Together. You used to tell me you would do anything to get Peyton to be yours, but would you rather Peyton go through all this pain when she just found you or leave her again?"

  Jason approached me. I lifted his helmet slowly.

  He smiled down at me and said,"I love you, Peyton. I did not mean to cause you all this pain. Will you forgive me, babe?"

  I nodded and pulled him in for a kiss. He kissed back, and from the corner of my eye, Bruce smiled and Gordon winked at me.
  Jason pulled away and walked towards Bruce. Bruce pulled him into a hug and started to cry. I was shocked, because I had only ever seen Bruce cry once before in my whole life. I understood the time before, and I understood this time, too.

  Bruce was happy to have his son back. I smiled and Jason hugged back, not wanting to let go. I was too happy for anything to ruin this moment for me right now.
