"Babe, you keep pacing the floor you're gonna make us both dizzy." Evan said to Sarai as today was the day Sebastian and Trinity were going to meet her parents.
Even though Evan has met them before, she always get nervous because she wants them to be pleased and accept her relationship mostly because it's very non-traditional
"I've met your parents before babe and they loved me, I'm sure things will be no different this time around when they meet my parents."
"Yeah you're right, I just overthink things as usual." She said as Evan gets up and straighten out her hijab that she was fidgeting with in the mirror
"Relax, everything will be fine trust me." He said as he gave her a kiss on the lips
"I'm sorry, I don't know why I get soo nervous? I was the same way when I officially became your girlfriend and met your parents and family, and everything was good and here I am freaking out again."
"It's okay just be yourself. Just tell your parents what a great time you had with me and what all you did, minus our sexy time." He said as she grins
"I don't think I'll ever be that nervous to talk about that, even when we do get married."
Later on it was now finally time to meet Sarai's parents as during the entire ride Evan held Sarai's hand to ease her nerves
"Sarai dear, will the hijab alone for Trin be okay?" Sebastian asked
"Yessir,"
"And you did say that the man runs everything right?"
"Well yes, the man leads everything."
"Well since technically I'm the leader, I would like for Trin to wear the thing that covers her whole face."
"You're referring to the niqab, only her eyes will show." She said as Sebastian smiles
"Yes, that's exactly what I want."
"Sebastian, shut up." Trinity said as she side eyed him and he shook his head
"Is that any way to speak to your leader? I should put you over my knee and spank you for being rude. I'm actually digging this leader thing, maybe it's not too late to become a Muslim."
"Allah says no thank you." Trinity lowly mumbles to herself as Evan snickers and Sarai tries not to laugh
"I heard that and you are really pushing it today, missy."
They finally arrived to the parents house as Evan was assuring Sarai that everything would be okay, meanwhile Sebastian was attempting to order Trinity around
"And when I snap my fingers I want you to be on it, kiss me like your life depends on it and you answer me with a smile on your face." He said as Trinity looked around to see if anyone was paying attention and she grabs Sebastian by the collar of his shirt
"You listen to me, I'm not your servant or some trained pet, I'm your wife and you will not dare snap your fingers and order me around. Don't get cute okay and fuck around, that your ass will be sleeping alone for the next year, and believe me I'll be fine."
"Woah, woah wait a second baby I was only joking." He said as he gently removed her hand from his shirt and was repeatedly kissing it as she glared at him
"Come on baby it's me, Sebastian, you know I love to joke around with you. There's no need to go to the extreme, I'm sorry sweetie please forgive me." He said as he gave her a kiss on the lips and her face softened into a subtle smile
"I'll forgive you, if you tell me who's your leader." She said as he cleared his throat
"You are." He said lowly as she stepped closer
"Who? I'm sorry I couldn't hear you?"
"You are, Trin." He said loudly as she smiled
"And don't you forget it. Now let's go meet her parents." She said walking away with Sebastian following behind
"Everything okay, dad?" Evan asked as Sebastian shrugs it off
"Oh yeah everything's good. You know how your mom is sometimes, I gotta put her in her place every now and then."
"Of course, always in control." Evan nodded his head
"I'm so nervous but I can't wait to see my parents again." Sarai said as she knocked on the door and nearly jumped for joy when they opened the door
She quickly embraced them in a hug as they happily hugged and kissed on Sarai. "Mom! Dad! I'm so happy to see you both!"
"Please come in and have a seat."
"Mom, dad, you two remember Evan." Sarai said as her mother smiled
"Of course, how could we forget such a handsome and sweet man."
"Thank you, I would like for you to meet my parents, this is my dad Sebastian." Evan introduced
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Ahyana and this is my husband Ahmed."
"I'm very happy to be here and thank you for inviting us here."
"And lastly this is my beautiful mother, Trinity." Evan said as both Ahyana and Ahmed were both a bit surprised
"This is your birth mother?" Ahyana asked
"Yes ma'am she is."
"I do apologize, we had assumed you were fully white, please forgive us."
"It's okay I've dealt with it my entire life and it means nothing to me now. I know who my mother is and that's all that matters."
"Ms. Trinity you are a very beautiful woman and you and your husband have raised a fine young man."
"Thank you, I think Evan being with Sarai only made him better. I tell you the entire family has fallen madly in love with her, my daughter has essentially adopted her as her new sister, I think she spent more time with her than Evan did." Trinity said with a chuckle
"That's wonderful, I'm glad you had a wonderful time in America dear." Ahmed said
"I did. Evan took me to meet his grandparents in New Jersey and I went to New York, and ate gelato and went to the Statue of Liberty and Times Square." Sarai said excitingly
"What's gelato?" Ahyana asked
"Like frozen yogurt and ice cream together, it's really good. And then we went out on a yacht with his cousin for the weekend, I had such a good time in New York."
"What's a yacht?"
"It's a big boat that has every and anything you can think of on it."
"Wow, that does sound like a great time."
"I want to take her to more places in the future, that is if it's okay with you two." Evan said
"Yes of course, we trust that you will protect her and obviously provide. Although we don't have much to give in return for treating our daughter so wonderfully."
"Oh no I wouldn't dare take anything from you, I love Sarai and I plan to one day marry her and it would be an honor to show her everything her heart desires, the only thing I would like is to have your blessing, but first I must tell you something about my family." He said as he glanced over at Sebastian and he nodded his head
"What is it?" Ahmed asked as Evan held Sarai's hand and took a deep breath
"It's about how we actually became rich."
"That doesn't matter to us, you've been so kind when you didn't have to."
"I know but I must tell you anyway. You see, a large portion of the money comes from the mafia through other legal and legit businesses. We don't do any scamming or fraud, we just do business a bit different than others."
"Well, does this mean that Sarai will be in danger?" Ahmed asked
"No not at all, I keep her away from that stuff which is why I'm very focused on becoming a doctor, I don't want her mixed up in that life. Unfortunately I was born into this life so there's no way out for me but I'm not involved."
"You've been open and honest with us from the beginning and we trust in you to do right by Sarai.
We realize that this opportunity will never come again, we're poor farmers and by a wonderful miracle she was able to get a scholarship to go to college.
All we ask is that you take care of her and treat her right, she's our only child and we want the best for her." Ahyana said with tears in her eyes
"You have my word, I'll protect her with my life and treat her as the precious gold that she is."
"We want to be as open and honest as we can with you, this isn't something easily taken and we really want Evan and Sarai to be together." Trinity said
"And if there's anything you need from us or you need help, no matter what it is, please reach out to us and let us know, we've embraced Sarai into the family and we want to extend that same courtesy to you." Sebastian added
"I also forgot to mention that Evan's grandparents decided to pay for me to come to school in the states at Harvard, his granddad knows the head director and could get in no problem. Can you believe it? The top medical school in the world and I can go there."
"That's wonderful dear, and we would be oh so proud of you for going."
"That means that I'll have to move to America with Evan, I will of course miss you both, but are you okay with that?" Sarai asked as her parents sadly looked at each other
"We would be lying if we said yes because you've never been away from us besides going off to college, but you're an adult now and Evan has expressed he wants to marry you and will no doubt take you back to his country. Again we want you to succeed anyway possible and if you have to move then go for it." Ahmed said
"Please understand that we aren't trying to pawn our daughter off to your son, we're poor farmers that don't have anything, we've never left our city but we know there's more to life than tending to goats and sheep. I want Sarai to have a better life than what we have, sure it's nice for us but she deserves better than what we can provide." Ahyana said
"We understand and any loving parent would want the best for their child, especially their only daughter. No matter the circumstances, any parents wants better for their children."
"I can confidently say that I'm excited for the future wedding, I know it will be beautiful." Ahyana said as Sarai looks at Evan with a smile
"I'm excited too."
"Just be patient, it'll get here before you know it."
Sebastian and Trinity finally got to meet the parents and so far so good.
Where you surprised at their decision to let Sarai move to America for school?
Will they decide to travel to see Sarai in the future?
And lastly, do you think they're afraid of the family knowing their 'secret'? How will the parents relationship with each other pan out in the future?
I appreciate you all for coming back and reading this chapter and I hope you've enjoyed.
Let me know what you think and I'll catch you all on the next update and as always be breezy,
