Picture perfect memories
Scattered all around the floor
Reaching for the phone 'cause, I can't fight it anymore                                                                                 And I wonder if I ever cross your mind                                                                                                                  For me it happens all the time

You sat on the floor of your apartment, a bottle of bourbon beside you. You were drunk, looking through the photos that were scattered across the hardwood floor. Mickey had left a week ago, angry that Minnie rejected him. He blamed you for it.

You wanted to blame yourself as well. I mean- you did have deep feelings for the mouse. You loved him so much that it made you feel bitter and hurt that he ignored you.

Stretching your hand out towards the night stand, you clumsily grabbed hold of your cellphone. Murky eyed, you dialed the same number you've must've called a thousand times. You wondered if he even thought about you anymore. However, he was all you could ever think about.

It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now                                                                            Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now                                                                      And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now

Mickey was wandering the fairgrounds long after the show had ended. Everyone else was asleep, leaving him alone in the early hours of morning. He reached into his pocket to retrieve the buzzing cellphone. It was another voice mail from you. He partly smiled, he missed you. He played it, yearning to hear your voice again.

[Hello, Mickey? Are you there? It's been almost two weeks *hic* since you've left *hic*. I know you're *hic* mad at me and you probably *hic* hate me. But, just know that *hic* this is the last time I'll ever bother you with these stupid calls. I'm sorry Mick.....I'm sorry...goodbye]

He trembled, this can't be the end. He desperately called you over and over, trying to reach you. When he failed to reach you, he made his way to the apartment.

Another shot of whiskey, can't stop looking at the door                                                                       Wishing you'd come sweepin' in the way you did before                                                                            And I wonder if I ever cross your mind                                                                                                                    For me it happens all the time

You swilled down another shot of whiskey whilst boring holes into the door you drunkenly glared at. You hopelessly dreamed of the day that Mickey would come bursting through through the door sweeping you up into his arms. But, what good are dreams anymore?

It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk, and I need you now                                                                  Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now                                                                      And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now                                                                  Whoa oh whoa

Mickey arrived at your doorstep. He was out of breath from running almost eight city blocks to get to you since his bus broke down. The sound of glass shattering caught his immediate attention as he unlocked the door with his copy of the key.

"(Y/n), where are you? Please, answer me" he called entering.

"*Groaning and incoherent mumbling *"

Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all                                                                                                        It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now                                                                             And I said I wouldn't call but I'm a little drunk and I need you now                                                        And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now                                                                             I just need you now                                                                                                                                                         Oh baby I need you now ooh ooh

Mickey ran to your side, a whiskey bottle was shattered beside you. He held you to his chest, petting your hair.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" you repeated over and over again.

He looked down at a notebook that was on the floor. The message scrawled haphazardly, made his heart ache.

[I loved him. I loved him so much and he left me. Why can't he see me? Why can't he see past Minnie? Just Why?]

He cried into your shoulder as you started drifting off.

"Mickey.....you came back?" you groaned coming to your senses.

"Yes, and I'm never leaving you again. I'm so sorry (y/n). Please forgive me?"

"Oh Mickey" you sighed relieved as you brushed the tears away and kissed his cheek.

He picked you up and carried you over to the large couch. He laid there with you under the throw that was draped over the back. A soft sigh escaping as everything fell back into place, just as it should be.
