Ink sighed. Oh geez, it's to late now. There was no coming back from this. It wasn't exactly a recent thought and sense of guilt for his dumb past. Though it wasn't like he had known what the creators full abilities and willingness would do until it was far too late.

So long ago Ink was still a young well whatever he was. Once upon a time the creators would say he was their assistant while the aus would instead say he was a protector of aus. Truthfully Ink never knew what he was. His earliest memories were pure black nothingness. A deep gnawing emptiness of him whatever he was clawing for change and then instead of black what came to be was now white.

Endless white and he was different now just more than black. Something black and white . Time served no meaning, but again the emptiness within him yearned for something. So more colors came to be in response to the need. These colors came with a spark of something else. They had their own weight and presence that wasn't the gnawing of darkness or absence of white.

The blackness took these colors, but the spark died immediately when with it. But the darkness still yearned for the spark and continued again. Then something changed when the darkness took in the white. The white kept the sparks alive and almost solid in the darkness. It could taste the sparks as they were preserved for awhile before slowly fade away leaving white in the all consuming darkness.

Still the colors lasted. Lasted long enough to ignite the white and black. The sparks were so much more, they solidified him. He was sparked with creativity and thought. To feel, to know, to question, to understand. While the emptiness within satisfied itself, he was filled with to much yet to little. What does another do with a thought without something to teach or guide them? A baby where only colors exist and lack the solid ideas developed in civilization.

While he wasn't an animal with just instincts to follow, he had an extremely enormous lacking of anything to direct him. Time was a lost cause here and wasn't even a part of his though process at this point. Still he guessed he learned through colors alone and the desires given by these colors to make change. Boundless curiosity and nothing else to direct the colors he kept making and filling himself with.

He started making other things forming things. Ideas and thoughts and everything painted the place. Solids become liquids and liquids become gases. Rules of reality would be what his future self would call it. But the things he created lacked something, it lacked what made him be everything in color.

The process was difficult and using the soft and gentle green first did do a bit of what he wanted. Plants came to existence although neither the white or black space was able to keep them there for long. Black immediately devoured it while white caused it to fade. It wasn't a singular problem. When preserving sparks in a solid existence these are the results.

It made him ache uncomfortable whenever he failed while burst with warmth whenever he made a way to do it. Colors didn't necessarily need sparks to stay, but it was a bit harder to make things without sparks. But making the area less white and filling it with colors made him fuzzy inside.

He could easily guess that it was a very long time before he successfully created his first universe. The first few sentient life forms he made quickly died in that white. He eventually came up with what eventually became his doodle sphere. The white paper was safe from being erased by the white while the white of the paper was kept at bay by the black of space within the paper and the combined might of the other colors kept it stable.

He had learned black and white can suppress each other and this would keep his other colors safe. It was like how his own being worked. Life was very basic here where giant beasts rules the world for a long time. He watched the place riveted and made changes here and there. Some species died out because of the environment he didn't take into account. Even other species where born from the sparks. It helped him fill in the blanks. It's not like he forget some means for species to reproduce or anything like that.(he totally did)
