Error quickened his destruction and claimed the core code of the au in one fell swoop. Honestly this was just exhausting and by this point there wasn't really a reason to try convincing the idiots of his duty. He burned that bridge a long time ago and being worked ragged in emergencies with no rest for weeks on end is frustrating.
No matter how much easier the squid makes his job Error still hates him with a burning passion. He constantly got in the way of his work yet helped in continuing it within the same breath. He escaped back to the antivoid and launched the red soul into the string collective causing the magic strings to flash brighter for a few seconds. He then went on to steal the core and more destroy aus.
The seal was a complicated business. One he was created to maintain so that IT doesn't escape. Sure it took a never ending and expanding net of his magic and ever increasing number of au cores. And sure in the end IT will probably escape for one reason or another. Error was far to realistic to believe otherwise. He was just delaying the inevitable and enjoying whatever time is left during breaks.
He still had to add to the seal as IT constantly tore into the seal and weakened it. He'd make sure the seal is at full power no matter the price to his own health or the innocent deaths on his soul. At least his breaks were large between each time IT goes all out and exhausts itself.
(Error was created to power, fix, and maintain the seal within the antivoid. Ink makes his job easier with creating so many aus even if fighting him is annoying so he doesn't need to touch the originals and have plenty of souls/core code to spare that would power the seal. The IT inside the seal was far more dangerous than him and would quickly end the multiverse)
(Error doesn't and would never kill Ink because it would mean aus would come about to slow to maintain the seal. He works as fast as possible which meant he doesn't always spare time to fight and instead blitzes through the aus.)
